Roman Reigns has put a rough expiration date on his run at the top of WWE, telling fans he sees a couple to three more years of elite-level work before he steps back to give time to his family.
In the same conversation, he made clear that one part of his career carries no such deadline: The Bloodline saga, he said, runs until he is gone.
The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion made the comments during an appearance on the Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe podcast, joining NBA guard Jalen Brunson on stage live from Fanatics Fest in New York City.
Reigns Sets A Timeline On His WWE Future
Reigns framed his remaining years as a matter of schedule and priorities rather than physical decline, noting he still feels sharp and firmly in his prime.
I definitely have a few more years in what I’m doing now,” Reigns said. “I definitely feel comfortable with a couple to three more years of just elite-level, top performance. I’m still in my prime. I still feel very good.
He pointed to a recent conversation with The Undertaker, who told him he is working more now than he did across the previous decade despite once having a lighter schedule. For OTC, the calculus comes down to where he wants to direct his attention.
I have a lot of children. I wanna be able to give back that time to my wife that she’s sacrificed while I’ve chased this dream,” he said, adding that in roughly three years he expects to weigh how his body, mind, and family situation line up before deciding what comes next.
The Bloodline Has No End Date
Asked how much longer the storyline that has defined his run could continue, Reigns drew a line between his in-ring timeline and the family angle itself.
I’ll cleanly say now, I don’t really have many friends anymore. I have my family, I got my blood, and that’s real,” he said. “We’re not a faction, we’re a family. People wonder like, ‘How long is this gonna on?’ Forever, until I’m gone.
The remarks land with Reigns’ title reign still going strong. He captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating CM Punk at WrestleMania 42 Night 2 on April 19, 2026, and has since defended it, including a retention against Jacob Fatu at Backlash 2026.
His next test is already booked. Reigns accepted Seth Rollins’ challenge for a World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam, keeping the top of the card active heading into the event. During a recent contract signing, Reigns also told Rollins he would always be number two.
