RUSH AEW Return May Be Further Away Than Expected

RUSH may be taking longer to get back to AEW than fans were expecting.

The question came up on October 6, when a fan asked on social media when El Toro Blanco would finally be returning, suggesting plenty of wrestlers in the company still had a beating coming. RUSH’s reply was brief but pointed: “Maybe next year.”

That timeline is a notable shift from what RUSH had been saying just weeks earlier. During a livestream, he’d indicated his comeback was close, suggesting his absence from AEW programming wouldn’t drag on much longer.

RUSH also pushed back on the idea that injuries are behind his extended time away, maintaining that he’s dealt with only one significant injury during his AEW run.

He’s said he stays ready in the meantime, training in the gym and the ring, studying English daily, and keeping up with tape, so he’s prepared whenever the call comes.

Whether “maybe next year” was a genuine update or just RUSH keeping fans guessing, it’s cast some doubt on an imminent return. For now, his AEW comeback remains without a firm date.
