Sami Zayn recently reclaimed the Undisputed WWE Title he lost months ago, and he sent out his first message after that.
The Last Real Good Guy defeated CM Punk in the main event of SmackDown in Mexico City this week. Amid a chaotic match that saw Johnny Gargano and Kevin Owens interfere, Zayn utilized the title belt and a Helluva Kick to unseat Punk in a major shocker and become a two-time WWE Champion.
He waited for more than a day to send out his first message as the new Undisputed WWE Champion on X. Sami Zayn wrote:
I AM THE WWE CHAMPION AGAIN.
The Underdog from the Underground won his first-ever Undisputed WWE title at Night of Champions 2026 PLE. However, he dropped the title to a returning CM Punk nine days later on RAW. Since then, he had been longing for a one-on-one opportunity, which Punk finally granted almost three months later.
Sami Zayn came with everything he had and delivered a stellar bout against The Best in the World. In the end, he had to resort to underhanded tactics to claim the title once again. This marked his second reign as the Undisputed WWE Champion this year.
With Zayn’s title reign ready to unfold in the WWE landscape, it will be interesting to see what happens next.
