Sheamus asked to leave his Big Event NY appearance early on November 14, the same day as AEW Full Gear.
Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Sheamus made the request this past week. He said he had to attend a wedding.
Meltzer called it a potential twist.

Sheamus was already booked to sign autographs and take photos at Big Event NY in Brentwood, New York. Full Gear takes place that night at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix.
Sheamus became a free agent when his WWE contract expired on October 1. He had turned down a restructured extension. Veteran AEW wrestlers have reportedly pushed for the company to sign him. Sheamus has said he is in no rush to decide his next move.
He last competed on the November 17, 2025, episode of Raw, teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio. He had shoulder surgery the following month.
