Steve Maclin is not waiting for the phone to ring. Less than 24 hours after his TNA release was announced, the former TNA World Champion already has a multifight deal signed and a date locked in, debuting July 16 in his home state of New Jersey.
PRODUCE by Orange Crush announced the signing, confirming Maclin will make his first appearance for the promotion at PRODUCE: Volume 2 – TAIGASTYLE at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. The booking frames his exit from TNA as a proactive free-agent move rather than a fallback.
The announcement came via PRODUCE by Orange Crush (via X/@PRODUCENYC), which laid out the terms and the date.
“Steve Maclin has come to terms with PRODUCE on a multifight deal. On July 16th in Jersey City, NJ, the Garden State native will debut on our second show PRODUCE: Volume 2 – TAIGASTYLE at the White Eagle Hall,” the promotion wrote.
A Fast Turnaround After Requesting His Release
The speed of the deal stands out. TNA announced on June 7, 2026 that Maclin and Myla Grace had both been released, effective immediately.
Maclin later clarified that the departure was his call, explaining he had requested his release the week prior. He spent five years with the promotion and held the TNA World Championship during his run.
“Last week I requested my release from TNA. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into everything I’ve done over the last 5 years and I’ll always be thankful for my time there. But now, it’s time to STACK BODIES. See you soon,” Maclin wrote.
His exit immediately sparked speculation about whether WWE or AEW could be his next destination. For now, that talk remains unresolved, with Maclin’s first post-TNA move already official on the independent scene in front of a hometown crowd.
