TNA Wrestling has parted ways with former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin, cutting loose one of its most established names alongside Myla Grace effective immediately. The release comes just weeks after Maclin challenged Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship in what turned out to be his final appearance for the promotion.
The promotion confirmed both departures on Sunday, June 7, 2026, through a statement published on its official website.
“TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Myla Grace and Steve Maclin, effective immediately. We wish them the best in their future endeavors,” the statement read, per TNA Wrestling.
Maclin’s Final TNA Run
The news marks the end of Maclin’s latest run with the promotion, where he had been featured prominently in the title picture throughout much of 2025 and into 2026.
His final match under the TNA banner took place during the company’s May 15 television tapings at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. In that outing, he challenged Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship but came up short in the title bout.
That clash followed an earlier high-profile chapter in the rivalry, when Mike Santana addressed a Maclin injury suffered during their match at TNA Sacrifice.
A Former TNA World Champion Hits Free Agency
A former TNA World Champion and one of the company’s most established roster members in recent years, Maclin now enters free agency following the announcement.
His title pedigree with the promotion runs deep, dating back to when Maclin became the first-ever TNA International Champion at Unbreakable.
The release also arrives just one day after Maclin and his wife Deonna Purrazzo announced plans to present the Battle For The Brave charity wrestling event, underscoring his profile outside the TNA banner heading into his run as a free agent.
