It's STING!!!
Darby Allin had picked up a big victory at Dynasty this past Sunday, defeating Andrade to become the new #1 Contender for the AEW World Title. He had then announced that fans will not have to wait long as he will be cashing in his opportunity on this week's Dynamite.
So it was no surprise when Allin's mentor Sting, made an unannounced appearance on the show tonight. The wrestling legend showed up backstage just before Darby went out for his main event match against MJF.
Darby Allin asked the former WCW star if he had any advice for him. Sting told him to take it all in before telling his former tag team partner that he's got this.
The actual match turned out to be a short affair. MJF tried to use his dirty tricks by distracting the referee and low-blowing his challenger. Darby, however, returned the favor and then delivered not one but four coffin drops to become the new AEW Champion.
The locker room emptied after the title change, and Sting was the last to join Darby Allin as he celebrated becoming a triple crown champion in AEW.
