Tay Melo is set to return to action after almost 2 years.
STARDOM in Japan announced earlier today that the AEW star will be competing at their upcoming New Year Dream show, scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2025.
The female star then posted a video on Twitter further confirming her in ring return. She got emotional while talking about her comeback:

Melo last wrestled on March 11, 2023, during an indie event. She teamed up with her husband Sammy Guevara at the show, picking up a victory over Encore & Tiara James.
The Brazilian pro wrestler went on a hiatus after announcing pregnancy at Double or Nothing in May. She gave birth to her daughter in November of that year.
Tay Melo will be teaming up with Mina Shirakawa for her return match. She will be facing the ROH Women\'s Champion Athena and STARDOM\'s Thekla in the bout.
It\'s unknown if Melo plans to make her return to AEW TV before this match, but it wouldn\'t be a surprise if she makes her presence felt in some capacity at the December 28 Worlds End PPV before heading to Japan.
