Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen of AEW’s Private Party did not just both get hurt around the same time, they sustained the same injury in the same match.
The detail comes from a new report by Fightful Select, which provided an update on the tag team’s status.
Neither member has wrestled since the March 28 edition of AEW Collision, where Private Party lost to the Death Riders duo of Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia. The specific nature of the injury has not been revealed.
As per the report, Kassidy and Quen “ended up sustaining the same injuries in the same match” during that Collision bout. A timetable for their return has not been given.
It was reported shortly following the match that Quen had suffered a tear, though the body part was not disclosed. Fightful Select noted at the time that Quen was expected to miss significant time.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Kassidy was also banged up and hurt, but the nature of his injury was likewise kept private. The latest update ties both situations together, confirming the two are dealing with the same issue from the same night.
With both members of the team on the shelf and no return window in sight, Private Party’s absence leaves a hole in AEW’s tag team picture for the foreseeable future.
