Trey Miguel debuted new Spider-Trey gear and a special Spider-Man entrance during the Countdown to Lockdown pre-show at TNA Lockdown on Sunday night in Chicago.
Miguel faced Special Agent 0 in a pre-show match and scored the win with a roll-up. The bigger moment came before the bell, as he brought back his Spider-Trey persona with fresh ring attire and production.
TNA posted the entrance video with the caption “It’s a brand new day for @TheTreyMiguel,” nodding to the recent Spider-Man: Brand New Day film. Miguel had teased ordering new Spider-Trey gear earlier this summer ahead of the movie’s release.
The entrance featured red lighting, spider web graphics on the screens, and a web line effect as Miguel posed in a classic Spider-Man crouch. He wore a red and blue sleeveless top with web patterns, matching red pants with blue accents, red boots, and gloves. The titantron displayed a “SPIDER TREY” graphic as he made his way to the ring.
Once inside, Miguel removed the top gear to reveal his tattoos before the match against the much larger Agent Zero, a member of Order 4.
Miguel had returned from a four-month absence due to a fractured patella on the August 13 episode of iMPACT, where he teamed with Rich Swann and BDE against Order 4 and later challenged Agent Zero to this bout.
Miguel first leaned into the Spider-Trey nickname and gear years earlier during his X-Division runs, drawing from Miles Morales and Into the Spider-Verse. Fans responded positively to the updated look on Sunday.
