Update On Jack Perry’s AEW Contract Status

ByAndrew RavensProfessional Wrestling Journalist

There is a belief that Jack Perry has not yet renewed his AEW contract, with Bryan Alvarez reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio that as of last week Perry was unsigned.

Alvarez’s qualifier suggests the situation could change quickly but that as of the most recent available information, a deal had not been completed.

Perry, 27, whose real name is Jungle Boy, is the son of the late actor Luke Perry. He debuted in AEW in 2019 as part of Lucha Brothers-adjacent appearances before becoming a full-time roster member. He is a former AEW TNT Champion and was part of the Jurassic Express tag team alongside Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt, with the team winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

In recent years, Perry evolved into a more serious singles act and has been involved in some of AEW’s most high-profile segments, including a real-life altercation with CM Punk at All In 2023 that contributed to Punk’s AEW departure. The two later worked together in a scripted capacity after Punk’s return to AEW television.

No word on whether WWE or other promotions have expressed interest should Perry reach free agency.
