"We don't answer to Share Holders"-AEW Star Takes Dig at WWE

A popular AEW fired a shot at WWE management having to answer to their higher-ups at parent company, TKO Group Holdings.

The star mentioned is the former WWE superstar himself, Ricochet. On the August 17 episode of RAW, Paul Heyman said that WWE has to answer to its shareholders, not just fans as he officiated the confrontation between Oba Femi and Bron Breakker.

This caught Ricochet’s attention, who took to X to dig at WWE, saying AEW answers only to its loyal fans, unlike them.

We’re the Greatest Wrestling company in the world. So no we don’t answer to “Share Holders” we answer to OUR fans. Because they’re the ones who deserve it. ????? ??.

The One and Only has been known to take fire shots at his previous company every now and then. He left the Stamford-based company in 2024 after his contract expired and debuted for AEW at that year’s All In event. Sometime later, Ricochet turned heel and became a captivating fixture for Tony Khan’s company.

So far, he has become the AEW National Champion once and won the AEW World Trios titles with his Demand faction members, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona. As the Lightskin Kingpin continues to make waves in the Jacksonville-based wrestling promotion, it is yet to be seen what is next for him.
