WWE Hall of Famer Reveals Uncomfortable Encounter On Public Transit

Stephanie McMahon has shared a story about a brief but uncomfortable moment on public transit that has stuck with her.

On her “What’s Your Story?” podcast, McMahon described riding Boston’s subway system, known locally as the T, on a packed train. With no seats free, she stood near the entrance stairs holding a divider beside a seated passenger.

I’ll tell you, the creepiest thing happened to me, though. I was on the T in Boston, and it was a packed T. So I was standing on the stairs, like when you first get on.

While her hand rested on the divider, she felt something brush her finger. When she glanced over, she saw a man who struck her as unsettling, wearing dark sunglasses that made it impossible to read his expression.

She said he didn’t actually do anything, but the moment felt off, and she suspected he might have been under the influence of something.

I looked to my right, and this was, like, a creepy-looking guy. And, yeah, it was very…but he didn’t really do anything, right? But it felt weird, though.

Because she was alone, McMahon said she slowly moved her hand away and didn’t look at him again. She had no interest in speaking to him. She emphasized how minor the contact was, just the tip of a finger, but said it left a strong impression.
