Royce Keys is fine. The stretcher was part of the show.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports the angle that closed Monday’s Raw, with Jacob Fatu laying out Keys after their Street Fight, was purely storyline and not a way of writing around a genuine injury.
That clears up a picture WWE deliberately muddied. Fatu won the main event by technical submission after Keys passed out to the Tongan Death Grip, then kept going after the bell. Adam Pearce and a group of officials came out to stop him. Keys was left bloodied and motionless, and WWE put out footage after the show of him being taken to the back on a stretcher.
Roman Reigns walked out to the stage and acknowledged Fatu on the way off the air.
The setup came earlier in the show. Reigns dressed down The Bloodline for losing their six-man tag at SummerSlam to Keys, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa, and told them to fix it. Keys approached Fatu afterwards to make peace. Fatu challenged him to a Street Fight instead.
Whether Keys is off television for a stretch to sell it is a separate question, and one WWE has not answered.
