WWE is aware of the rumors.
Lyra Valkyria not only picked up a big victory over Bayley at this past weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, but she also seemingly wrote the former Women’s Champion off TV with a post-match attack.
This segment came only days after Mercedes Moné’s latest tease about her friend’s future. With reports suggesting that Bayley’s current deal is set to expire towards the end of 2026, many speculated on social media that the wrestling veteran may not be seen on WWE TV again after SNME.
Lyra Valkyria Says She Ran Bayley Out
The company only added to this talk with a segment on the latest episode of Raw. Lyra Valkyria interrupted the Women’s IC Champion Sol Ruca during a commercial break interview on the show. When asked what was going on with her, Valkyria claimed that she ran Bayley out of WWE:
Oh I know, I’m probably just glowing because I dropped a whole lot of dead weight on Saturday when I ran Bayley out of here.
Lyra then ended the segment by revealing her intention of going after the IC Title after next week’s episode of Raw, where Ruca will be defending her belt against Raquel Rodriguez.
Whether this turns out to be the confirmation of Bayley’s WWE exit or a storyline for her eventual return will only be revealed in future. What’s certain is that the segment will add new fuel to the fire of rumors about the former champion’s next move in wrestling.
