WWE will announce the match distribution for WrestleMania 42 on Tuesday morning during ESPN's Get Up. SmackDown commentator Joe Tessitore will appear on the show at 9:35 a.m. Eastern time to reveal which matches will take place on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.
Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced the ESPN appearance on social media Monday morning. "Every match on this year's #WrestleMania card has the opportunity to steal the show and both nights are STACKED," Levesque wrote. "SmackDown's @JoeTessESPN will be on @GetUpESPN tomorrow at 9:35am ET to break down which matches will be featured on Saturday and Sunday."
According to the Wrestling Observer, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton is expected to headline night one. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns is projected to close out the weekend as the night two main event.
WrestleMania 42 Match Card
Twelve matches are currently confirmed for the two-night event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. WWE is expected to add two more bouts before the show, creating seven-match cards for each night.
The confirmed matches include both world championship defenses, with Rhodes facing Orton and Punk defending against Reigns. Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer defends against Liv Morgan, while WWE Women's Champion Jade Cargill faces Rhea Ripley.
Other featured bouts include Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi, Seth Rollins vs. Gunther, and an unsanctioned match between Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu. Women's Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee defends against Becky Lynch.
United States Champion Sami Zayn puts his title on the line against Trick Williams. Intercontinental Champion Penta defends in a ladder match against Je'Von Evans, Dragon Lee, Rusev, and JD McDonagh.
The Women's Tag Team Championship will be contested in a four-way match featuring champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend defending against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, The Bella Twins, and Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. Finn Balor faces Dominik Mysterio in a singles match.
