The Young Bucks are AEW World Tag Team Champions again.
Matt and Nick Jackson won the titles in a three-way ladder match against champions Adam Copeland and Christian Cage and FTR on Saturday at AEW All Out. The show took place at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
It is the Bucks’ fourth reign with the titles, the most of any team in AEW history. They had been tied with FTR at three.
The match opened with a brawl. Cage was left bleeding from the side of his head after a chair shot, and Matt was suplexed onto two chairs. FTR later beat down the Bucks with a ladder on the floor, and Dax Harwood was also bleeding from the forehead.
The spots kept coming. The Bucks hit a springboard senton on Cash Wheeler as he hung from a ladder. Copeland and Harwood crashed through a ladder after a suplex off another one. Matt hit a stomp off the top rope on Wheeler, then rolled through into a Codebreaker on Cage off a ladder.
Tables came into play late. Wheeler was sent over the top rope through one, and Matt hit a 450 splash off the top rope through another on Harwood. Cage answered with an Unprettier off the top rope on Nick onto a ladder.
Stokely Hathaway got involved, hitting Copeland with a low blow and throwing powder into Cage’s eyes. Copeland shoved Hathaway off a ladder through a table on the floor. FTR then hit Copeland with a piledriver on the apron.
With three ladders set up in the ring, all six men brawled, and FTR hit the Shatter Machine on Matt. Copeland was knocked off a ladder with a chair shot, and Nick helped send Wheeler over a ladder with a back drop.
The Bucks finished it by hitting the BTE Trigger on Cage off a ladder and pulled down the titles.
Copeland and Cage had held the titles since beating FTR in an “I Quit” New York Street Fight at Double or Nothing on May 24. They also beat the Bucks to retain at All In: London on August 30.
Earlier tonight, Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight earned a future shot at the titles after a doctor stopped their match with Darby Allin and Steven Borden.
