Britt Baker has shared how her perseverance landed her in Cobra Kai after impressing one of the show's writers with her 'attitude.' The former AEW Women's World Champion appears in the ninth episode of Cobra Kai’s sixth season which landed on Netflix on November 15.
While Baker has only now arrived in the show, getting a role in Cobra Kai has been in the works for the DMD since meeting writer Hayden Schlossberg at the season 4 premiere.
He recognized me from social media. I kind of joked, but not joking, ‘If you ever need anything, I’m a huge fan and would love to be involved.’
Schlossberg later contacted Britt, who he feels embodies the "Cobra Kai never-say-die attitude." While Baker, who plays Russian sensei Oksana, has been working on getting on the show for years, she's still yet to watch herself on the hit Karate Kid-spinoff.

Baker's role in Cobra Kai is a huge opportunity for the AEW competitor to extend her star power outside of the squared circle. It remains to be seen if this role will lead to bigger things for the DMD, but years after pitching herself, Baker has at long last found herself in one of the most popular shows currently airing.
