MJF Defends WWE Legend From Recent Disrespect

MJF wants you to show respect to Booker T.

The AEW World Champion recently took to X to share his feelings about the WWE Hall of Famer. The Salt of the Earth, who is proud of being a homegrown talent of Tony Khan's promotion, noted that the former WCW Champion has provided a blueprint for his own career.

The 29-year-old wrote that it's ok to not like his work on the commentary table, but to disrespect a legend like Booker T is unacceptable:

@BookerT5x in a lot of ways is a blueprint to me. A completely homegrown top guy with massive drawing power on Warner TV without having to have worked for McMahon.  If you dislike what he does in the booth, that’s fine.  But You guys talk crazy on legends. Show some respect, he’s earned it.

This comes after the wrestling legend was voted the worst Television announcer in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards. This led to a lot of discussion about Booker's work, and the sanctity of the awards as well

Bryan Alvarez himself has since commented on the choice of their readers, saying that he was aghast by the voting. He claimed that the wrestling veteran is not even the worst announcer on the NXT broadcast team.
