NJPW and AEW are set to run their first Wrestle Dynasty show on Sunday, January 5th, a day after the iconic Tokyo Dome Wrestle Kingdom show on January 4th. There are already some pretty big matches confirmed for that show, but it appears as though New Japan actually wanted more talent from All Elite that they couldn't get a hold of.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, NJPW wanted to bring more talent in for the event, but due to Collision taking place on the Saturday night, the talent wouldn't be able to appear at both:
There were a number of talent that NJPW wanted for Wrestle Dynasty, but were already planned for Collision the same day."

We do not currently know how the talents are, but there will probably be some more indication when Collision takes place on January 4th when the show goes live.
