Speaking on The Commentary Booth podcast, De Lander opened up about her progress, noting that she’s feeling better than expected just two weeks after the procedure. While recovery from neck surgery can be complex, De Lander expressed optimism about her progress and relief at addressing her health proactively.

Two weeks into her recovery, De Lander reported, “I feel great.” While she’s still in the early stages of healing, she noted that her initial progress has been promising. The procedure left her with a small incision, currently covered with bandages, but no complications have emerged. As she expressed, taking preventive action was a vital step to ensure her long-term health, allowing her to focus on a safe return to the ring.

Why Neck Surgery Was Necessary

In her podcast appearance, De Lander explained that her surgery was a preventative measure to address a nagging neck issue that could have worsened over time. “Neck injuries can be very, very dangerous,” she said, highlighting the need to manage such issues before they become serious.

By opting for surgery now, she hopes to avoid more significant injuries in the future and aim for a full recovery. Although feeling well just weeks after surgery, De Lander acknowledged that her road to full recovery is ongoing.
