WWE has released pay-per-view sales numbers for their Royal Rumble & Fastlane on their corporate website. This year’s Royal Rumble sales were down 37% from 2015’s Royal Rumble, and Fastlane was down 6% from the previous year’s Fastlane.
Here are the preliminary sales stats for both events:
Royal Rumble: 91,000 total buys (59,000 international; 32,000 domestic)
Fastlane: 43,000 total buys (25,000 international; 18,000 domestic)
These numbers don’t include viewers on the WWE Network. The 2014 Royal Rumble event drew 467,000 PPV sales.
