John Cena Reaches Out-Of-Court Settlement With Ford

6

John Cena found himself in quite a predicament with the Ford Motor Company not too long ago.

The company sued the 16-time WWE World Champion for selling a Ford GT he bought that included a contract saying he couldn’t sell it until two years after he had purchased it. Cena got the Ford GT in September of 2017. He sold the vehicle a month later. After Cena sold the $450,000 Ford GT, the motor company sued him that November.

In addition to the cost of the car, Ford was seeking $75,000 in damages. Cena claimed the terms of not being allowed to sell the car were not made aware to him and he asked the judge to throw out the case in February.

According to a report from Autoblog, Cena and Ford have come to an out-of-court settlement on the matter. Cena will give Ford an undisclosed amount in the form of a settlement, and Ford is prepared to donate it to charity.

Cena released the following statement on the matter:

“I love the Ford GT and apologize to Ford, and encourage others who own the car to respect the contract. I am pleased we could resolve this matter outside of court, and that a worthy charity will benefit from one of the most iconic cars in the world.”

Big Title Change At WWE NXT UK Taping From London

4

A big title change occurred at Tuesday’s WWE NXT UK Title Tournament taping.

The sports entertainment company held day two of the tapings at Royal Albert Hall in London, England this afternoon. This event will air on the WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network, on June 26th.

At the tapings, Tyler Bate & Trent Seven, known as Moustache Mountain, beat Undisputed ERA’s Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly to win the NXT Tag Team Titles. The win marks Bate & Seven’s first reign with the titles. WWE.com has since published a story announcing the news.

The Undisputed ERA held the titles up to this point for over 200 days as they won the straps from Sanity (Alexander Wolfe and Eric Young) back in November of 2017 during an episode of NXT on the WWE Network.

We will have full spoilers from this taping later this afternoon.

Big Cass Released By WWE

82

Big Cass is no longer under contract with the WWE.  The company officially announced the news on Tuesday (June 19, 2018):

“WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass).”

Cass was last seen competing in the ring when he suffered a loss to Daniel Bryan in a singles match at Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network. This marked the big man’s second consecutive PPV loss to Bryan.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what led to the WWE making this decision to release him. We’ll be sure to provide an update when we get more details.

What are your thoughts on WWE releasing Big Cass?

WWE Congratulates John Cena On Being Finalist For Muhammad Ali Award

0

WWE recently took to Twitter to congratulate 16-time World Champion John Cena on being a finalist for the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian of the Year award:

WWE notes that Cena is being nominated for his work in “philanthropy.” He joins fellow nominees such as the Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver Doug Baldwin, the Golden State Warriors’ forward Kevin Durant and the Houston Texans’ defensive end J.J. Watt.

One of Cena’s biggest accomplishments is being the most requested Make-A-Wish wish-granter, as well as the only celebrity to have granted 500 wishes. He also starred in the first-ever Make-A-Wish campaign entitled “Wishes Take Muscle.”

The Leader Of The Cenation has also done a lot of work with Susan G. Komen to support breast cancer research and awareness. He is also a big supporter of the U.S. military and was the recipient of the USO’s 2016 Legacy of Achievement Award.

The Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian of the Year award recipient will be announced at the 2018 ESPN Humanitarian Awards on Tuesday, July 24, at 7/6 C on ESPN.

Jillian Hall On Backlash For Past Relationship With WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann

6

In the aftermath of WWE Doctor Chris Amann’s lawsuit against CM Punk and Colt Cabana, some interesting information came to light.

Deadspin ran an article revealing that Amann actually had a romantic relationship with former WWE Superstar Jillian Hall. Hall has apparently received a ton of backlash from people since the past relationship with Amann became public, claiming she has been ‘slut shamed.’

She posted the following lengthy response to the matter on Instagram:

“I’m going to get really serious for a minute.. as much as I hate using the word “slut” in any capacity, this post is very necessary right now! The past several days I’ve received messages, emails, and read some comments that have completely slut shamed me due to information coming out about a prior relationship I was in. Maybe read that last line again! It contains the word “relationship.”

“To those of you that have decided this makes me a bad person, a girl that was trying to get ahead in my life and career, someone that uses people or just a plain “slut,” you are the problem with this world! Not really wanting to bring up specifics, but am I really the bad guy here?? I did absolutely nothing wrong myself. If the other party involved did in your eyes or the law’s eyes (and that’s hypothetical), why am I the one that is being pretty much bullied by some of you?

“Do you not see what your words can do to people? This is me being real, some of your accusations towards me have given me elevated anxiety, made me feel depressed, and really hurt my feelings. Stop the slut shaming! Think about it, and if you have harsh words or opinions about the situation that you weren’t even involved in, direct them where they deserve to be directed… it’s not towards me!”

Undertaker & Michelle McCool Date Night, Drew McIntyre Reacts To Ziggler’s Title Win

3

The Undertaker & Michelle McCool’s Date Night

The Undertaker created his own Instagram account several weeks ago. On Monday he posted a photo of himself and rapper Post Malone at his concert in Austin, Texas from Saturday night. Undertaker destroyed a guitar on stage and also chokeslammed Malone backstage in a segment.

Taker’s wife and former WWE Women’s Champion, Michelle McCool, took to her Instagram and posted a photo of herself and The Deadman on their “date night”:

Drew McIntyre Reacts To Dolph Ziggler’s IC Title Win

Dolph Ziggler defeated Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Ziggler’s partner, Drew McIntyre, took to Twitter to react to the former WWE World Champ’s victory:

Several WWE Programs On Preliminary Emmy Ballots

1

Several WWE programs have made the cut for the Emmy Prelim Ballots.

WrestleMania 34 has been nominated for the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) category. Monday Night RAW and the Mixed Match Challenge have been nominated in the Outstanding Structured Reality Program category.

Both Total Bellas and Total Divas were included in the Unstructured Reality Program category. WWE Studios and HBO’s documentary on Hall Of Famer Andre The Giant was included in the Best Documentary or Non-fiction Special section, as well as WWE Network’s WWE 24 special “Empowered.”

It should be interesting to see if any of these programs make the final cut of nominees for the Emmys. Earlier this month WWE participated in a For Your Consideration event in attempt to lobby for Emmy nominations.

Discussion: Do you think any of these WWE programs will make the final cut of nominees? And which program do you think has the best chance at actually winning an Emmy Award?

Pete Dunne Ranks Himself Alongside HBK, JR & Bully Ray Back Becky Lynch

Pete Dunne Ranks Himself Alongside HBK

WWE U.K. Champion Pete Dunne was recently a guest on BBC radio alongside WWE Hall Of Famer and Performance Center trainer Shawn Michaels. Dunne posted a photo of he and Michaels during the interview, and made quite a confident caption:

JR & Bully Ray Back Becky Lynch

WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray recently took to Busted Open Radio and discussed the Women’s Money In The Bank (MITB) Ladder match. Ray noticed that fans were cheering on Becky Lynch whenever she’d climb up the ladder.

Ray suggested he hopes backstage officials take note of this and perhaps give Lynch a push soon:

“Every time she climbed that ladder, those people were on their feet. They’re invested in her, they wanted to see her win. Hopefully the people in the back are listening.”

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross responded Ray’s comments, agreeing with him that Lynch is due:

WWE Blocks ROH From Running MSG

14

ROH will in fact not be holding an event at the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York City next year.

It was revealed in an interview with Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. CEO Chris Ripley by Baltimore Business Journal that came out just last week that the promotion had plans of holding a show at the arena. However, that won’t be the case.

ROH COO Joe Koff spoke with PWinsider.com on Tuesday (June 19, 2018) to promote the upcoming Best in the World pay-per-view event.

In that interview, Koff revealed that they will not be running an event at MSG due to the arena backing out after talks with the WWE.

“I’m not going to discuss beyond this statement because I am not going to litigate this in the press.  We had a deal with [Madison Square] Garden and they then told us they were backing out after communications from the WWE.  We are not able to get any other dates in any kind of discussion.

I’m expecting that our lawyers will be contacting all the parties involved and the best we can hope is that we can find a resolution, so we can bring the kind of energy and excitement that ROH and our partner New Japan to a bigger audience and to bigger arenas and to the fans of New York City. ”

Although this was not confirmed at the time, the belief was that ROH would hold the event at MSG during WrestleMania 35 weekend.

It’s also been reported that the sports entertainment company was not pleased with MSG over letting ROH secure a date with them, which is most likely why MSG pulled its date with ROH.

Also, Koff was asked if there was even a possibility of a date still on the books with MSG. His response was short and to the point.

“There is no date and the discussion is going to end here on that.”

Ember Moon Reveals What She Said To Triple H Upon Getting Main Roster Call-Up

1

Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon recently did an interview with The Miami Herald to promote this past weekend’s Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV). During the interview, Moon discussed getting the call up to the WWE main roster after WrestleMania 34.

Moon recalled being called into a room with several WWE executives, including Triple H, and being told she was getting the call up to be a part of Monday Night RAW:

“That weekend was such a blur, because it was coming off Mania Week, but I remember being pulled into a room with [WWE executive vice president of talent, live events and creative] Triple H, [WWE assistant head coach/NXT producer] Sara Amato and [WWE head coach] Matt Bloom, and I thought I was in trouble for some reason. Oh no.

“I don’t ever do anything wrong, but I’m like, ‘Oh God. I did something wrong. What is it?’ Like it’s a kid stealing a cookie and getting caught. They were like, ‘We just want to thank you for the awesome match at TakeOver [New Orleans]. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for NXT. You’re going to Monday Night Raw.’”

She then revealed what her first words were just after getting the news:

“I was like, ‘What? Hold on. Hold on,’ and I remember I broke down, and I started crying, and a camera came out of nowhere, and it was in my face, and I was like, [sounding emotional], ‘Why do you guys have to ruin everything with cameras.’ [chuckles]. That’s the first words I said, after finding out I’m on Monday Night Raw.”

Sami Zayn Reportedly Injured

9

Sami Zayn will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.

This is due to him being injured, according to a report by Mike Johnson of PWinsider.com. The site is reporting that Zayn had been working through an injury and will be taking time off from the road with the WWE to address it.

As of this writing, the nature of his injury has yet to be revealed.

Zayn was last seen when he suffered a loss to Bobby Lashley at Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network.

He was also not backstage for this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network.

MITB was the last date with the sports entertainment company for Zayn before he took time off.

Now, he’s slated to travel to Birmingham, Alabama this week to be examined. We hope to have more on this story as it develops.

SAnitY To Debut On SmackDown Live Tonight

4

For the past several weeks WWE has been teasing the SmackDown Live debut of former NXT Tag Team Champions SAnitY. Now, the promotion has officially announced that the faction will be making their official main roster debut on tonight’s (Tues. June 19, 2018) episode of SmackDown Live.

They’ll face some steep competition in former three-time SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos:

“For weeks, the impending arrival of SAnitY has been hanging over SmackDown LIVE. No one knew what the chaotic crew of Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and the monstrous Killian Dain had in store for Team Blue after joining during the Superstar Shake-up, but the wait is over, as they will be making their debut tonight.

“SAnitY isn’t wasting any time, either, as they’ll be taking on The Usos in their first match on SmackDown LIVE. Will The Usos put the newcomers in their place, or will chaos reign in SAnitY’s arrival? “

Kevin Owens Pleads With Shania Twain On Twitter

12

“I got verified again so that I can beg Shania Twain to play my favorite song “When” at her concert this summer in Montreal because I’ll be there. I’m serious.” – Kevin Owens Twitter bio.

According to Kevin Owens, tonight is the night he finally sees Shania Twain in concert. The former Universal Champion will see if the return to Twitter was worth it.

https://twitter.com/FightOwensFight/status/1009008950795210752

“Hello, @ShaniaTwain! I’m Kevin. I’m a @WWE wrestler and fellow Canadian. I had quite a rough couple of days. I was thrown off a very tall ladder by an awful man. I’m really hurting… What would make me feel better is hearing you sing “When” at your concert in Montreal tonight.”

Shania Twain’s official concert at Montreal’s Bell Center takes place June 26th, 2018. It’s possible Owens is referring to a small, unannounced warm-up show taking place before her “Now” Tour begins, however.

https://twitter.com/FightOwensFight/status/1009008990272081920

“By the way, I’m sorry that my tweet will now probably get you bombarded all day by @WWE fans asking you to play “When” tonight but my awesome wife surprised me with tickets for your concert and I really want to hear it live. It’s my favourite.
Thanks!”

Kevin Owens Really Likes Shania Twain

Shania Twain is a singer-songwriter from Timmons, ON, Canada. She is perhaps best known for her hit singles “Any Man of Mine”, “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Man, I Feel Like A Woman”.

Owens is evidently a big fan of the song “When”. The song’s official video can be viewed in the player below:

8 Takeaways From WWE RAW (6/18)

12

The June 18th, 2018 episode of WWE RAW aired live from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI. It was the first episode of RAW following WWE Money in the Bank 2018. During the show, The B-Team cut a promo on RAW Tag Team Champions Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy. You can check that out in the video below.

Here are 8 takeaways from this week’s show:

Ronda Rousey Was Suspended For Beating Up Everyone

This week’s episode of RAW kicked off with GM Kurt Angle in the ring with the RAW Women’s Championship and the MITB briefcase set up on a table. Angle welcomed new RAW Women’s Champion Alexa down to the ring. Bliss won the women’s MITB Ladder Match and cashed in later on during the night.

Bliss raised the title in the ring as Kurt Angle announced that Nia Jax has demanded her rematch against Bliss at Extreme Rules. Angle noted that Jax was currently in physical therapy in Alabama. Alexa thanked the crowd for the opportunity to rub it all of their faces.

Alexa called Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey bullies and added that she shocked the world last night. Bliss stated that everything will be about her going forward because she is the only woman that actually matters. Bliss referred to herself as the goddess and raised the title.

Ronda Rousey interrupted and marched down to the ring. RAW GM Kurt Angle stood in front of Rousey and prevented her from getting to Bliss. The crowd chanted “let them fight!” as Bliss bragged about beating up Ronda with the MITB briefcase.

Alexa said that Rousey doesn’t understand the difference between WWE and UFC and that what she did last night was perfectly legal. Bliss bragged about ruining Ronda’s moment last night because she was just seconds away from beating Nia Jax. Bliss bragged about all the media coverage she got last night and accused Rousey of being jealous.

Bliss then called Rousey irrelevant and called Ronda an overhyped rookie. Rousey attacked Bliss and Angle tried to drag her away. Ronda wasn’t having it and planted Angle with a Judo Throw. Rousey beat the hell out Bliss with the briefcase and then started hitting Angle with the case.

WWE officials then rushed to the ring and Rousey beat the hell out of them too. Rousey then lifted Bliss onto her shoulders and slammed her through the table. Ronda exited the ring as the commentators said that Ronda will have to face repercussions for her actions. Angle started shouting at Ronda at the top of the entrance ramp but Rousey ignored him and walked away. Ronda and Angle then had a conversation backstage. Angle told Rousey that she was suspended for 30 days and told her to leave.

Ronda was then briefly interviewed backstage by Renee Young. Rousey warned Alexa Bliss that she was coming for her after her 30-day suspension was over.

Opinion: This was very entertaining and the crowd absolutely loved it. However, it is a bit of a bummer that Rousey won’t be around for 30 days because she has all the momentum in the world right now. I don’t have any interest in another match between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss, which has already been announced for Extreme Rules next month.

Dolph Ziggler Is The New Intercontinental Champion

ziggler raw 6 18

Seth Rollins came down to the ring and issued an open challenge for his Intercontinental Championship. Dolph Ziggler answered the call and McIntyre accompanied him to the ring. Dolph went for the Zig Zag right away but Rollins blocked it. Seth then went for the Curb Stomp but Ziggler dodged it and rolled out of the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Ziggler was in control after connecting with a Dropkick that sent Seth to the outside of the ring. The action returned to the ring and Ziggler applied a Chin Lock. Rollins broke the hold with a Jawbreaker and then catapulted Ziggler face-first into the ring post.

Rollins followed it up with a Slingblade and then launched Dolph out of the ring. Seth then connected with a Suicide Dive that knocked Ziggler into the barricade. Back in the ring, Rollins connected with a forearm to the face for a two count as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Seth connected with a knee to the face for another near fall. Ziggler dodged the Curb Stomp again and planted Seth with the Fameasser for a two count. Dolph went for the Superkick but Rollins hit a Superkick of his own and Ziggler collapsed to his knees. Rollins then delivered another Superkick to Dolph’s face for a two count.

Rollins made his way to the top rope and went for a Frog Splash but Dolph rolled out of the way. Ziggler then climbed to the top rope but Seth caught him with a punch to the face. Rollins headbutted Ziggler and then joined Dolph on the top rope. Dolph fought Seth off and Rollins fell to the mat.

Seth hopped back up on the turnbuckle but Ziggler knocked him back down with a headbutt. Dolph went for a Crossbody but Rollins caught him and planted Ziggler with a Buckle Bomb. Drew McIntyre hopped up on the ring apron to distract Rollins. Seth and Dolph then traded roll-up attempts. Ziggler rolled up Rollins again and grabbed his tights for leverage for the pinfall victory. Dolph Ziggler is the new Intercontinental Champion.

After the match, McIntyre attacked Rollins from behind and mockingly shouted: “burn it down!”. Ziggler and McIntyre then hit Rollins with the Zig Zag/ Claymore. Renee Young interviewed Ziggler and McIntyre backstage. They said that the IC Title was the first of many titles to come.

Opinion: This was quite random. I thought Rollins was a great Intercontinental Champion and he put on a great match with Elias last night at WWE Money in the Bank. I was looking forward to seeing that feud continue and another match between the two. The match itself was just as great. Ziggler and Rollins are both excellent performers and put on a very entertaining match tonight. I just don’t understand why it was time for Rollins to drop the title. Hopefully, it will all make sense over the next few weeks.

Owens Failed To Befriend Braun Strowman

Owens Strowman

Braun Strowman came down to the ring with the MITB briefcase that he won last night in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Strowman stated that winning the MITB contract was his greatest accomplishment so far.

Strowman said that all Brock Lesnar has to do is show his face for him to cash in the contract and become the new Universal Champion. Braun said that the Beast is going to get these hands.

Kevin Owens interrupted and limped his way to the entrance ramp. Strowman through Owens through a table next to the entrance ramp last night at WWE Money in the Bank. Strowman stated that he was surprised to see Owens out here after he threw him off a 20-foot ladder last night.

Owens said that he probably shouldn’t be out here and it hurts to just breath. Owens stated that he wanted to be the first guy in the locker room to congratulate Strowman and told Braun that he deserved it. He said that he knew Braun would win that contract and that is why he went around to try and talk to all of his opponents to work together to eliminate him last night.

Owens told Strowman to be smart about this and that he needs to have a strategy when it comes to Brock Lesnar. Kevin stated that he and Strowman are more alike than he thinks and suggested that he could watch Braun’s back. Owens asked Braun who he can count on around here and pointed out that Strowman had to go in the crowd and pick out a 10-year old kid for a partner at WrestleMania.

Kevin said that his best friend, Sami Zayn, was injured last night in his match against Bobby Lashley. Owens suggested that they use each other going forward and that Owens will get a title shot in the future. Owens asked to shake Braun’s hand and Strowman obliged. Owens went to walk away but Braun wouldn’t let go. Strowman tried to Powerslam Owens but Kevin was able to get away.

Jinder Mahal Has Found Inner Peace

Jinder Mahal RAW 6 28

Jinder Mahal came down to the entrance ramp with Sunil Singh. Sunil was in a neck brace due to getting Speared by Roman Reigns last night at Money in the Bank. Jinder stated that Roman won the match last night but he has won the battle for self improvement. Jinder called Reigns bitter and said that he is a spiritual being that is committed to change. He added that he has found tranquility and then had a match with Chad Gable.

Mahal attacked Gable right when the match started. Jinder planted Gable with a Neckbreaker and followed it up with a knee to the face. Gable battled back with a German Suplex and then an Arm Bar on the ropes. Gable followed it up with a Moonsault off the top rope for a two count. Jinder connected with a boot to the face and then the Khallas for the pinfall victory.

Sasha Banks & Bayley Are Not Friends Anymore

Banks Bayley RAW 6 18

Bayley and Sasha Banks had a conversation backstage and seemed to finally put their differences aside. They will be battling the Riott Squad tonight on RAW. On last week’s episode, the Riott Squad beatdown Bayley and spray painted the letter “R” on her stomach.

Bayley and Sarah Logan started off the match. Bayley had the match under control but Banks decided to tag herself in. Banks connected with an elbow to the face and then Bayley tagged herself back in. Bayley knocked down Logan and punched her in the face a few times. Bayley then threw Logan out of the ring and Banks leveled Liv Morgan with a Clothesline as RAW went to a commercial break.

Logan was in control of the match when RAW returned. Logan knocked Banks off the ring apron and slammed Bayley to the canvas. Liv Morgan tagged in and Banks once again tagged herself into the match. Sasha connected with a Dropkick and then Double Knees off the second rope. Morgan battled back and went for a cover but Bayley broke it up.

Bayley battled with Sarah Logan on the outside as Banks was looking for a tag. Logan hopped up on the ring apron and distracted the referee. Bayley tried to run in the ring to help but the referee prevented her. While the referee’s back was turned, Logan punched Banks in the face. Morgan then rolled up Sasha from behind for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Banks shoved Bayley and the two started arguing. Sasha then shoved Bayley down and left the ring. Bayley looked angry as the segment concluded.

Bayley confronted Banks backstage and a brawl broke out. Banks won the fight and left Bayley laying on the ground backstage.

Later on the show, Bayley once again tried to confront Sasha Banks. Sasha was getting into her car when Bayley shouted that she wasn’t done with her. Banks responded by telling Bayley that she was done with her and that they are not friends anymore. Banks drove away and Bayley whipped a water bottle at her car.

Opinion: I find it difficult to care about this feud at all now. They’ve already brawled before and then the feud fizzled out. It could have been something special if it were done right leading into WrestleMania 34 and they actually had a match. The only way I would have been interested now was if Bayley turned heel and attacked Sasha Banks during the tag match tonight. That would have at least been something different.

Lashley Upstaged Reigns

Lashley Reigns RAW 6 18

RAW GM Kurt Angle came down to the ring and stated that Stephanie McMahon has just informed him of when Brock Lesnar will be defending the Universal Championship next. Roman Reigns immediately interrupted and said that he should be the one to face Brock Lesnar because he defeated Brock Lesnar at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Roman claimed that he was the uncrowned Universal Champion and told Angle that he would be a full-time champion that defends the title every Monday night.

Bobby Lashley interrupted and came down to the ring. Lashley said that he has been trying to get his hands on Brock Lesnar for a long time and claimed that he could defeat him. Lashley added that he could also beat Roman Reigns. RAW GM Kurt Angle interrupted and said that the Superstar will be facing Brock Lesnar next will be the winner of a “multi-person match” at Extreme Rules. Angle announced that Lashley and Roman Reigns will be in that match and the remaining Superstars will be announced at a future date.

The Revival joined the party and challenged Reigns and Lashley to a match. Roman said that he will take Wilder & Dawson to school and added that if “Bob” over here pays attention he might learn something too.

Reigns demanded to start off the match by beating down Scott Dawson. Lashley tagged in and planted Dash Wilder to the canvas. Lashley then stared at Roman Reigns in the corner and Reigns nodded his head in approval. Dawson pulled Reigns off the apron and Roman chased after him.

Dawson got Lashley in Headlock in the middle of the ring. Lashley broke the hold and planted Dawson with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Roman tagged in and hit Wilder with a Clothesline. Reigns then beatdown The Revival in the corner with ten Clotheslines in a row. Reigns booted Dash in the face and then hit a Leg Drop on Dawson while he was draped across the ropes.

Reigns hit Dawson with a Superman Punch and then delivered one to Wilder. Reigns geared up in the corner for the Spear but Lashley tagged himself in. Lashley then Speared Dash Wilder for the pinfall victory. Lashley smirked at Reigns before exiting the ring.

Opinion: A feud between Lashley and Reigns sounds like a nightmare. I still get caught up on how badly The Revival is being wasted on RAW. I’m a fan of tag team wrestling and RAW’s division is a total bore. There is an awesome team on the roster and they were just used as a prop for an angle between Lashley and Reigns.

Elias Wants A Shot At Lesnar & Rollins Wants A Rematch Next Week

elias raw 6 18

Elias came down to the ring with long majestic hair and performed a song. Elias sang that Rollins cheated at Money in the Bank because he knows that he cannot defeat him. Elias also poked fun at Rollins losing his title tonight. Elias then sang that he wanted to be in the match at Extreme Rules to earn a shot at Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

Seth Rollins was interviewed backstage about losing the Intercontinental Championship earlier tonight. Rollins said that there were no excuses for what happened tonight and that he will invoke his rematch clause next week.

Constable Corbin Pinned Finn Balor

corbin raw 6 18

Finn Balor & Braun Strowman faced Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin in the main event of this week’s RAW. This match came to fruition when Balor told RAW GM Kurt Angle that he would do anything to get in the mystery match at Extreme Rules to become #1 contender. Constable Corbin and Kevin Owens started making fun of Balor for having to relinquish the Universal Championship the day after he won it due to injury. Braun Strowman showed up and stood up for Balor and suggested that they have a tag match tonight.

https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/1008898795701260289

Corbin wrestled in his business attire and started off the match by beating Balor down in the corner of the ring. Strowman tagged in and shoved Corbin to the corner and flexed in his face. Strowman charged at Owens in the corner and Owens hopped to the floor outside the ring. Corbin capitalized and attacked Strowman from behind. Corbin then mocked Strowman’s pose and got Clotheslined for his troubles. Finn tagged in and Strowman threw Balor onto Corbin and Owens outside the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

Kevin Owens connected with a Senton to Balor as RAW returned from the break. Owens then applied a Chin Lock on Finn in the middle of the ring. Balor battled to his feet for a moment but Owens was able to drag him back down to the canvas. Corbin tagged in and threw Balor out of the ring. Back in the ring, Corbin connected with Deep Six for a two count.

Strowman got into the ring and rolled Balor to the corner of the ring and tagged himself in. Braun clubbed Corbin across the chest and went for the cover but Owens got into the ring to try and break it up. Braun noticed Owens and started walking towards him. Owens got out of the ring and Strowman started chasing him. Corbin was waiting on the apron and he leveled Strowman with a Clothesline.

Corbin brought Strowman back into the ring and went for the cover but Braun kicked out at two. Strowman got back up and charged at Corbin in the corner of the ring. Corbin got out of the way and Strowman crashed into the ring post. Balor tagged himself in and hit Corbin with a Double Stomp to the chest.

Strowman sprinted at Owens outside the ring and hit him with a shoulder tackle that sent them both through the barricade and into the timekeeper’s area. Back in the ring, Balor Dropkicked Corbin in the corner and then made his way to the top rope. Corbin tripped him up and then connected with End of Days for the pinfall victory.

https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/1008909717589168130

Opinion: The main event was solid. I’m sure a lot of people will be pissed about Balor getting pinned by Corbin while he was wrestling in dress clothes. Finn has looked weak routinely on RAW so I’m used to it at this point. This week’s RAW was a mixed bag. The first hour was very good and then the show fell off the rails after that.

6

As we noted earlier on the site, Rousey got her revenge on WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network by attacking and sending her through a table.

The reason for the beatdown was due to Bliss attacking her during Rousey’s RAW Women’s Title Match against Nia Jax at the Money in the Bank PPV event. It was later announced that Rousey would be suspended for 30 days as a result of her actions.

Following the angle, Rousey took to her official Instagram account to react to the news by writing the following:

“@therealkurtangle I sincerely apologize for my behavior tonight…. Though you were the first to put hands on me, I shouldn’t have let my temper get the best of me….Despite the fact I was cheated, provoked, and disrespected by Alexa… i shouldn’t have been willing to go through you to get to her.

I’ll gladly serve my suspension … but Alexa, know that every moment you don’t see me i am thinking of you and preparing for your comeuppance. So you in 30 days #LittleMissBish.”

Sid Vicious On Hulk Hogan ‘Acting Like A Woman’ At 1992 Royal Rumble

10

As we’ve noted before, former WWE Champion Sid Vicious was a guest on Prime Time with Sean Mooney to talk about several professional wrestling topics. One such topic was his relationship with Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan during his 1991-1992 run with WWE.

Face-to-face Vicious had no issue with Hogan during their interactions together, and has no recollection of Hogan talking about him behind his back:

“Face-to-face he was always great to me,” Sid said. “I don’t know if he said or did things behind my back, I don’t know that. From the very first day to the last time I saw him, the guy was really good to me.”

As far as Hogan’s 1991 run he wasn’t getting the type of pops that he used to. Vicious believes this was due to an in-ring style that fans were getting sick of at that point his his career:

“In that year of the business, Hogan was already on the downhill skid, he wasn’t getting cheered,” Sid responded. “You know that ‘Three Stooges’ comeback [‘Hulking Up’] wasn’t working anymore. You know the ‘Three Stooges’ comeback, right? He copied that from Curly of the ‘Three Stooges.’ He presented it to me like that, I wanted to have a heel match and he said, ‘No, brother, this is going to be easy.

“You just beat me up a little bit and all of a sudden I’ll get the shakes, slap my face a couple times – like Curly does – you go throw a punch, I’ll block it, we’ll do that a couple times.’ That’s how easy it was. It didn’t make for great matches, but it worked for him. So when you’re doing that kind of match for that long of a time, people are going to s— on that.”

Vicious then stated that his run with the company didn’t go well for several reasons, but a big one was wrestlers like Hogan and Ultimate Warrior behaving poorly. Sid got so furious about Hogan ranting and raving about the 1992 Royal Rumble that he told Vince McMahon he was leaving the company:

“In that company I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. I left a big guarantee contract to come into this place,” Sid said. “I was going to do TV and PPVs for one year and after WrestleMania I was going to be the World Champion. Well, [Vince] had to fire [The Ultimate Warrior] and all that s— changed. From the very beginning things didn’t go right. We were in Albany for the [1992] Royal Rumble, Hogan pulled me out from the outside and the fans started booing him.

“We get back to the dressing room and Hogan is screaming and acting like a woman! And he’s screaming at Vince [McMahon], ‘He set this up! He made this happen’ I didn’t even know Vince was that bad of a person at the time that did things like, that was all hearsay. I went to Vince’s office, stuck my hand hand out and said, ‘I wanna thank you for the opportunity, but I’m gone. I cannot work in a place where grown men act like women.’

“He said, ‘No, no, no, I’m not shaking your hand.’ I said, ‘Well, that’s not going to do you any good, I’m leaving.’ He said, ‘Well, will you stay until WrestleMania?’ and I said ‘okay,’ and that’s what I did and finished up a couple days after WrestleMania.”

Big Title Change On WWE Monday Night RAW

12

An unexpected title change occurred on Monday night.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network, Dolph Ziggler accepted the open challenge made by WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, who is fresh off a successful title defense over Elias at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network.

Ziggler was able to beat Rollins to win the title. This marks the sixth time that Ziggler has held the title. Rollins has held the title since RAW 25 back in January where he beat The Miz to win it.

Although this has yet to be confirmed, it’s likely that the sports entertainment company books a rematch between Ziggler and Rollins for the strap at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena.

WWE “Suspends” Ronda Rousey In RAW Angle

6

Fans won’t be able to see Ronda Rousey on WWE television for the next month.

The reason for this is due to the opening segment on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network.

As seen in the angle that aired on the flagship show of the sports entertainment company, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Alexa Bliss would make her first title defense as RAW Women’s Champion against Nia Jax at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena.

This is when the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion hit the ring and attacked not only Bliss but Angle as well.

As noted, Rousey beat Jax by DQ in a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event once Bliss attacked Rousey. After the match, Bliss cashed in her MITB contract to win the title from Jax.

Following the segment, Angle announced that Rousey would be suspended for 30 days as a result of her actions. Rousey will be back on television next month to start the build for her match at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event.
