There has been some speculation following Sunday night’s WWE live event in Fairfax, Virginia regarding the possibility that Lana suffered an injury.
While Lana did work the WWE live events on Friday and Saturday, getting involved with Summer Rae during the Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev matches, she did not work Sunday’s WWE live event. Instead, Ziggler worked the show by himself.
Additionally, Lana tweeted the following on Sunday evening alluding to the fact that she is banged up:
The popular “Stone Cold Podcast,” hosted by WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, will return to the WWE Network on Monday night immediately following WWE RAW. Austin’s special guests on tonight’s “Stone Cold Podcast” will be multiple-time WWE Tag-Team Champions, and both former World Champions, Edge and Christian.
Speaking of tonight’s “Stone Cold Podcast,” WWE is encouraging fans to submit questions for “The Rattlesnake” to ask the masters of the “5 Second Pose,” and you can do so by following the instructions in the following tweet WWE posted on Monday morning.
Live Audio Wrestling out of Canada recently caught up with WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart to talk about the passing of his close friend, Roddy Piper, on the new “The Kliq Rules” WWE DVD and the latest Owen Hart project.
Below are some of the highlights from the interview, which you can watch in full above.
On the death of his close friend, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper: “Roddy’s a really hard one; that’s like losing a brother. I can’t say I’ve gotten over it. If anything, I haven’t even really absorbed it yet. I find myself reaching for the phone all the time to give Roddy a call. He was so much more than any of the other wrestlers who worked with me. He was a guy that mentored me and helped me in the very beginning of my career. He gave me advice back at a time when nobody was giving advice to me. Always good advice. When I wrestled him at WrestleMania VIII, I look back at those times – Mr. Perfect would be another one – there’s a few guys who would reach down and help pull someone like me up to the next level. You can take your Jake Roberts and your Hulk Hogans and your Ultimate Warriors and a lot of these guys that were big names back then, but they never did anything for me. They never helped me, they never thought of helping me, and when they had a chance to help me they never did. But Roddy Piper was a guy that looked after guys like me, and a lot of the younger talent when the opportunity came for him to help make my career and pull me up to the next level. I owe a lot to Roddy Piper.”
On the recent release of “The Kliq Rules” DVD: “They were literally a cancer in the dressing room, all of them. I don’t doubt that Shawn Michaels is sorry for a lot of that kind of behaviour. Kevin Nash was a great wrestler and a good guy, but I don’t think he could be that proud of that association. It was a cancerous environment in the dressing room with those guys and they certainly did more negative than positive to the business. Scott Hall, all you have to do is just look at him. He’s a train-wreck with his own life and he was a malcontent, or a guy that when you were close to him long enough you start to feel the same way he did; you just felt so self-destructive and unhappy with your life and your job and everything. He was a guy that was infectious with his bad, bad sort of moods and unhappiness in his own life that would spread to all the other wrestlers. And you know, I’m glad I’m not remembered for that kind of stuff. I’m remembered – I think if you talk to different wrestlers from that era, the Savio Vegas and those kinds of wrestlers that were on my cards – they’re all pretty proud of how I conducted myself, how I related to them and how I may have been the top guy but I didn’t act like a superstar; not to my friends and not to my peers.”
On the upcoming “Owen: Hart of Gold” DVD: “I’m looking forward to it but I’m not really optimistic that it’s going to be a great job. Martha [Hart, Owen’s widow] handcuffed them so much. I don’t know if they’re even allowed to use any pictures from the past. It’s a poorly done DVD because of all the restraints and the limitations that Martha put on it. To me, that’s such a lousy thing to have happen. I think Owen would turn in his grave if he knew how much trouble Martha has gone to erase his career and make sure that nobody enjoys anything about his career today. It’s a bitterness and selfishness that I can’t stand by anymore. I think Martha’s taken the wrong approach and she should understand that, you know, we all miss Owen. I lost a brother, I lost a great friend and maybe one of the closest people I knew on this earth. I want to celebrate his career, I want to watch his matches back – not just with me, but with everybody he worked with. His time with WWE, they got so much footage and so many great memories with Owen, and here she is standing in the way of that saying, “Nobody can see these videos. No one should see anything that brings back any of his career.” […] They couldn’t use any pictures from his childhood, they couldn’t use anything from Stampede Wrestling. They had so many restraints. Even the interviews, the questions that they did with me were so bullshit. The whole thing was so bullshit that sure, there’s an Owen Hart DVD, but it’s the shits. […] I think WWE maybe had good intentions, but I’m not very impressed with the quality that it’s going to be. I haven’t seen it, I’m not optimistic but I’m hoping that it’ll be better than I think. But I could tell by the questions that they asked me and the interview that they did with me that it was a very short version of [Owen’s story]. I’m not really gonna hold up hope that it’s gonna be as great as it should be, and I feel bad because that’s Martha’s fault.”
As reported on Sunday evening, Dr. Tom Prichard, formerly of “The Body Donnas” alongside “Skip” (Chris Candido) and “Sunny” (Tammy Sytch). According to Prichard, Sunny could be “nasty” at times and she was considered to be “not a nice person.” Sunny wrote the following response on Facebook:
“Finding out more and more how FAKE some people have been to my face for a 20 year period, whom I thought were friends, almost family. That’s OK. Just WAIT til you see how I AM to YOUR face the next time I see you….. Not gonna be pretty. ?#?TalkBehindMyBack? ?#?PhonyToMyFace? ?#?NoBallsToBeReal? ?#?Pussies? ?#?You?’llGetWhatsComingToYou”
And she also posted these comments:
“The LAST thing I am is fake or phony to anyone.. Everyone that knows ME knows that. I’m brutally honest, and tell it like it is. If I don’t like you, I don’t have a relationship with you. Period. I don’t act like your friend, because I’m not.”
There are those within TNA who insist that they have big announcements coming soon in regards to their future on television and on Destination America.
Additionally, for whatever this is worth, there have been consistent rumors in the past three weeks about someone who used to be involved with TNA returning to the promotion to work with them once again.
According to those “in the know,” the person that is returning to TNA could be coming back in a big role.
Former WWE tag team champion & trainer Dr. Tom Prichard recently did a shoot interview talking about his former manager, Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, her 5 rehab stints and karma biting her in the ass for being a “pretty nasty person.”
“I’m responsible for me, you’re responsible for you, Sunny is responsible for Sunny. She’s had a lot of things happen in her life but when we were together, as a team and with Chris, she could be a pretty nasty person. Just not a nice person. I don’t wish bad or harm or negativity towards anybody whatsoever, but you gotta believe sometimes karma does bite you in the ass. I don’t like what’s happened to Sunny, don’t think anybody should have to go through that but if you’ve been to rehab more than 5 times, there’s a little part in there where they talk about those poor unfortunate souls that can’t be saved. There is a part in there, I know because I’ve been three times. I get it, I understand. Sunny has to help Sunny. If its got to be under supervision, she needs supervision. She needs help, she needs to go to meetings, she needs people around her. She needs a sponsor, she needs support. But you’ve got to want it and you have to want to do it. I feel bad for her but at the same time, you get what you sow sometimes. And that’s a bad thing. I don’t’ wish her any harm but you know what, she wasn’t a very nice lady.”
– 2K Sports noted on Twitter that WWE 2K16 will not have a “demo” version available ahead of the game’s release in late October. The developers are “focused on making the final game as awesome as possible!”
Although it was rumored that John Cena was injured, only later for WWE to issue a statement to the contrary, the rumors were officially squashed when the leader of the “Ce-Nation” returned to action at the WWE live event in Charlottesville on Saturday night.
Originally, it was believed that Cena suffered an injury during a Street Fight match with Kevin Owens at the WWE live event on Friday night in Hampton, Virginia, however Cena returned the next night in Charlottesville, working the same Street Fight against Owens.
Cena worked another physical match on Saturday night and according to our live correspondent, showed no signs of injury.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated the Q&A section of his official website, answering questions from fans on a number of topics. Below are some of the highlights.
On if WWE will ever return to a TV-14 rating, and who is the next big thing in WWE: “I don’t think that they ever go back to TV14. Ever. It’s wide open as to who will be the next big thing. I have no idea.”
On if WWE should have supported Jimmy Snuka and not suspended his Legends contract: “I think it was the only call tht they could have made unfortunately. That’s my opinion.”
On the best wrestling city: “Loaded question that I have no answer. There are many and I won’t diss any city.”
On Seth Rollins and Triple H nearing their feud: “Obviously HHH and Rollins are on a collision course and Sting is a conduit.”
On why WWE sometimes doesn’t have their title match in the main event: “WWE isn’t a combat style event, it’s a theatrical event. However, under usual circumstances the WWE Title would normally close the show but it doesn’t have to due to artistic liscence.”

– WWE is running a new poll asking fans if Seth Rollins really is as good as Triple H was in his prime. With over 1,000 votes, around 80 percent voted, “No, he still has miles to go before he can be compared to Triple H.” The rest of the votes went to, “Yes, Rollins has proven he is on The Game’s legendary level.”
– As noted, King Barrett will be taking some time off to film the new WWE Studios movie, “Eliminators.” Barrett had the day off on Saturday and wrote the following on Twitter:
Back at hotel after a crazy & intense week of shooting @WWEStudios#Eliminators movie. Loving every second. 1 day off, then we roll again.
– On Tuesday, WWE will release their “Monday Night War: Vol. 2: Know Your Role” DVD and Blu-ray set, which as noted, will feature a new interview with Eric Bischoff. Below is a clip from the special that features Bischoff calling “B.S.” on comments made by both Paul Heyman and Vince Russo during the “Monday Night War” series on the WWE Network.
– Fred Oliveira, a video director of Grey Wolf Visuals, is currently filming some kind of project that involves Eva Marie and her husband Jonathan Coyle. Oliveira tweeted the following teaser on Saturday.
The current plan right now is for NXT Women’s Champion Bayley to feud with Dana Brooke and then Eva Marie. WWE executives apparently want to validate Eva Marie by putting the NXT Women’s title on her. The idea is that they can tell the story of how Eva Marie proved her critics wrong through hard work. While this is not confirmed at this point, it looks like Bayley vs. Dana Brooke could kick off at the NXT television taping from Full Sail University on September 10th, with a possible match at the NXT Takeover event on October 7th. Following that set of television tapings, Eva Marie could begin her feud with Bayley at the next set of tapings, with a possible title match at NXT Takeover: London in December. A three-way feud to carry them through December is also a possibility.
WWE issued a brief statement to the Washington Post on Saturday regarding the news that he may have suffered an injury at Friday night’s WWE live event from Hampton, VA. A WWE spokesperson told the Washington Post that that “John is fine” after his street fight main event with Kevin Owens which saw Cena land on his head as a result of a botched spot.
The match was stopped for several minutes and Cena was checked out by WWE’s medical staff before continuing (and winning) the bout.
Cena tweeted the following on Saturday, which seems to be a reaction to him getting banged up the night before:
Many times life will hit you hard, knock you down, and hurt you. Persevere, Never Give Up, and do your best get up and keep going #NGU
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog with his thoughts and comments on a variety of current topics. Below are some of the highlights.
On Jimmy Snuka murder charges: “The Jimmy Snuka alleged murder of his former lady friend three decades ago is going to continue to garner ample publicity. WWE has separated themselves from the Hall of Famer which is really the only thing that they could do in this instance. Jimmy is 72, has stomach cancer and is allegedly battling dementia which may equate to a very unique trial and legal process before all is said and done. I’d assume he will also have to have a public defender as his attorney as the State attempts to prove that Snuka his lady friend decades ago. I could see Snuka declared unfit to stand trial which would outrage many who have a vested interest in the case and subsequent trial that is if it actually goes to trial.”
On John Laurinaitis getting engaged to The Bella Twins’ mother Kathy Colace: “Congrats to John Laurinaitis on his engagement to the Mom of the Bella Twins. Holiday meals will be fun. I wish them the best as she is a lovely lady and a really nice person. John was my successor in WWE after I hired him when WCW went belly up.”
On WWE messing up the Divas Revolution: “WWE did their ballyhooed Divas, UGH, division no favors Monday night and many within the business agree with me. All talents need ample time to tell a story. No story and no one gets over.”
On Hulk Hogan: “If I was advising Hulk Hogan I’d suggest him to lay low and let things settle down. He does deserve forgiveness, as we all do, if he’s sincere and I want to believe that Hulk is sincere but trying to promote himself to have “one more match” is not advisable. Just my two cents.”

It was reported that independent wrestling stars Biff Busick and Rich Swann were going to be signing with WWE, pending the results of their physicals, only for it to be reported later that both Busick and Swann had already signed with WWE. In a bit of an update that further confirms the fact that at least Swann has already signed with WWE, U.K.-based Revolution Pro announced that Swann is off of their upcoming shows due to WWE-related commitments. Revolution Pro stated the following:
“Unfortunately due to commitments with WWE Rich Swann has had to pull out of his advertised appearances in two weeks time at Broxbourne Civic Hall & Southampton Guildhall respectively. We wish Rich Swann all the best and thank him for some of the most memorable moments in RevPro over the past few years.”
TNA Knockout Gail Kim recently spoke with Scott Fishman of Channel Guide about a number of topics. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On WWE’s Divas Revolution: “I made a comment on Twitter that we’ve been doing it all along, but that was not to bash any other company at all. I think it’s great what they’re doing. I’ve been waiting for them to do that for years now. I think it’s great. I think they have a really great group of talent, especially the girls that have come up through NXT. I wish Nattie was a part of it because I don’t see how see she can’t fit into the equation. She should have been in there from day one.”
“They just have a really good core group of girls. I really like Sasha [Banks]. I know she is a fan favorite. I just love what they’ve been doing. It’s so funny I saw a match I thought, ‘That’s so like TNA knockouts style.’ They are bringing it to another level, and I love it. I the saw Sasha and Bayley match. I just loved the psychology and the crowd was into it. It was great.”
On Taryn Terrell’s heel turn: “With Taryn, there were just things that had to change that fans don’t know about in terms of why Taryn turned heel. That’s up to creative to tell you. I can’t say, but when it happened I think everyone was kind of surprised. It was nice because in this business you can sort of see things coming a lot of times. She didn’t even see it coming. They told her she was going to turn heel and this was going to happen.”
“I remember her and I talking about it, and she had never been a heel in her life. I said, ‘Don’t worry. You just have to find that zone and you will get used to it.’ Honestly, we all laughed because wow, she was so good at it. It was really good for her and Marti and Jade because they got to work with one of our top girls and characters. I think Jade is really strong in the ring, but got to explore a different character she would probably not do on the independents on her own. That’s how you learn. It’s been a great progression with all three of them.”
WWE has announced that Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and a mystery partner will face Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and Luke Harper at the Night of Champions pay-per-view later this month. Here’s the match preview teaser:
“Now, with Night of Champions approaching, how will Ambrose and Reigns fare as this ongoing Hatfield and McCoy’s-like conflict continue? Will the former Shield brethren and their third be able to break the aura of invincibility that currently surrounds Braun Strowman? Or will Sister’s Abigal’s black sheep give The Eater of Worlds a definitive edge in this wicked war?”
Hit up Page 2 below to find out who the mystery partner could be:
– This week’s WWE SmackDown drew 1.981 million viewers, down from last week’s 2.195 million viewers. PWTorch.com notes that this is the lowest number in the show’s history.
– Cesaro has been working with an injury to his ribs this week. His ribs were taped up for his match on this week’s SmackDown (taped tuesday night from Miami) and also at last night’s WWE live event from Hampton, VA. It appears the injury took place on Monday’s RAW when Kevin Owens knocked him from the apron to the announce table.
– Brian Fritz of SportingNews.com revealed the following clip from WWE Studios’ “12 Rounds 3: Lockdown” with Dean Ambrose. The movie will be released in select theaters across the United States and on demand on September 11th.
As reported earlier this week, WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart took part in a Periscope Q&A with TSN and during the discussion, “The Hitman” had some negative comments to make about a fellow WWE Hall Of Famer.
Hart reportedly stated that he hopes “The Hulkster” never comes back and while he doesn’t remember him as a racist, he is “kind of glad” Hogan got busted for something.
Bret Hart also mentioned that Hogan is probably “glad” that Roddy Piper died because his passing took the edge off of the racism controversy that Hogan had been dealing with at the time.
Hogan, who eventually caught wind of the comments made by Hart, took to social media to offer the following response:
Originally, the man expected to fulfill the role as the third “mystery” member of the team of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to take on The Wyatt Family trio consisting of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman, was “The Icon” Sting.
Instead, as noted in our original report, the leading candidate at this point as the mystery member of the Reigns-Ambrose team is none other than former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan.
It should be noted that until further notice, this should be taken strictly as speculation at this point.

– The NXT DVD set rumored to be released in early 2016 is now officially set. The first-ever NXT home video will be released in March as a three-disc DVD and two-disc Blu-ray set. The working title for the project is “Best of NXT” and indicates that it could simply be a match compilation DVD, although more details should surface soon to confirm or deny that rumor.
– The Thursday, September 3, 2015 edition of WWE SmackDown scored a final cable rating of 1.42, according to Nielsen Media Research. The 1.42 final draw marks a decrease compared to last week’s 1.62 rating. This week’s show averaged 1.981 million viewers, down from the 2.195 million viewers who tuned in the previous week.
– Tickets for the October 2nd NXT live event in Nashville, Tennessee at the War Memorial Auditorium went on sale this weekend and well over 2,000 tickets have already been purchased. The ringside tickets for the event, which are priced at $105, sold out immediately.
WWE.com is teasing that Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose will be seeking help from a third man in their feud with the Wyatt Family’s Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman. The updated preview for Monday’s RAW reads:
“Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns are two tough fellas. Yet the ever-expanding Wyatt Family seems to have simply overpowered the former Hounds of Justice thanks to the addition of mobile mountain Braun Strowman. The Black Sheep singlehandedly tore both Ambrose and Reigns to pieces, which means they’ve got their work cut out for them if they’re ever going to beat back the Wyatts again. Given that their relationship with their former third man is, erm, strained at the moment, will they be able to find an equalizer to level the playing field against The New Face of Fear?”
Based on that, it seems WWE is teasing the return of former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan, who has been out of action since June with a torn bicip. Early reports stated that he could be out of action for 4-6 months and the last we heard, he was expected back around November.
The referee threw up the “X” signal and the match was stopped for several minutes. WWE trainers came out to check on Cena and were were looking at his nose and neck for around 5 minutes. The match was eventually restarted, with Cena even going through a table before picking up the victory.
After the win, Cena left the ring and headed to the back without doing his usual ringside celebration.
