Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns Kick Off RAW

This week’s show opens up with a shot of the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. From there, we see the footage of Seth Rollins crashing “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central.

After that, Rollins, who makes his way to the ring with J&J Security, informs us that Stewart is on his way to the arena right now. He says this isn’t some Jerry Lawler-Andy Kaufman situation.

Rollins says he’s going to prove tonight that he can do Stewart’s job better than him. As he continues to talk, he is interrupted by Roman Reigns’ theme song. Reigns makes his way to the ring through the crowd.

Reigns tells Rollins to continue, he says he only came out here to hear everyone tell Rollins that he sucks in person. He asks Rollins to continue.

Rollins says what he was about to say before he was so rudely interrupted, is that he is worth more than Michael Jordan. He says he can out-work everybody. He says he can out-work Jon Stewart and even out-rap Wiz Khalifa. He tells Reigns not to let his abs fool him, he can even out-eat Mark Henry. He says since Reigns is out here, he’ll add one more to the list — he can out-wrestle Roman Reigns. He holds up his Money In The Bank briefcase and says he, not Reigns, is going to be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Reigns laughs, and says Rollins had a chance to beat Lesnar and failed. He asks if Rollins is going to cash in his MITB briefcase and beat he and Lesnar both in a triple-threat match. Rollins says he could do that, or he could wait until Reigns and Lesnar tears themselves apart and then beat whoever wins to become champion. He says he could also cash in on RAW, or even later when no one expects it.

Reigns pushes Rollins’ mic down and says he could punch Rollins in the face right now. Reigns punches Rollins and then takes out J&J Security. All three run away as Reigns’ music plays. We head to commercial.

Dean Ambrose vs. Bad News Barrett

Before we head to our first commercial break of the evening, we see Dean Ambrose backstage heading to the ring with the WWE Intercontinental Championship, as the announcers inform us that after the break, Ambrose will meet the real I-C champion in one-on-one action.

When we return from the break, Dean Ambrose, with the I-C title in hand, makes his way to the ring. Already in the rnig, as mentioned before, is his opponent for tonight — Bad News Barrett. The bell rings and here we go with our first match of the evening.

On commentary for this one is R-Truth. Truth is in full cheesey-comedy mode, by the way. Ambrose controls the action early on, however Barrett quickly turns the tables. As Barrett gains control of the offense, we head to a mid-match commercial break.

We’re back from the commercial and we see the action continuing in the ring. Meanwhile, Luke Harper has made his way to the announce table. It’s worth pointing out that the announcers have confirmed during this match that at WrestleMania 31, there will be a multi-person ladder match for the I-C title.

Speaking of the I-C title, Truth, who once again stole the title as the action was going on inside the ring, surrendered the belt to Harper. Harper leaves. Meanwhile, Ambrose picks up the win and after the match, confronts Truth, looking for the title belt. Truth tells him that he doesn’t have it.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Backstage: The Miz, Damien Mizdow & More

Backstage, we see The Miz, Damien Mizdow, the Rosebuds, Cameron and a bunch of other low-level talent. Miz brags, in typical Miz-fashion. They introduce his latest acting work, which turns out to be an erectial dysfunction commercial parody instead of viagra, called “niagra.”

After the video plays, Miz is embarassed/pissed. He blames it on Mizdow and bitch-slaps him. Mizdow gets in his face. Miz says he’s the reason Mizdow is here and if it weren’t for him, Mizdow would be fired again. Mizdow restrains himself and apologizes. We head to another break.

Former NXT Wrestler Claims Bill Demott Bullied Trainees With Homophobic And Physical Abuse

45

WWE NXT trainer Bill DeMott is currently trending on Twitter after some harsh accusations from a former WWE developmental wrestler were made public on social media on Monday night.

Austin Draven (real name Austin Matelson), who formerly competed on WWE NXT as Judas Devlin, broke his silence on the nature of his departure from WWE in an interview last week with Joseph Duncan and Billy Blade of Vendetta Pro Radio 2K15. During the interview, Draven accuses WWE’s developmental program of negligence, bullying, inappropriate remarks referencing sexual orientation and favoritism. He also accuses DeMott of being a bully and reveals his tactics. To listen to the interview, click here.

In addition to the interview, a transcript of a memo Draven e-mailed to WWE officials Canyon Ceman, Dorothy Brill and Jane Geddes on March 11, 2013 accusing DeMott of misconduct was posted on Reddit.com. This memo is what led to DeMott trending on Twitter.

Subject: Coach Demott

I am composing this memo today because I have had a number of serious concerns about the actions and words of head coach Bill Demott during my employment as talent for WWE developmental. Many of these actions I have tried to ignore or hope that they would cease but because they have now put me in a dangerous situation not only for my career but for my personal health and safety I feel the need to speak out to someone of a higher authority. In this memo I will provide details on a series of incidents which underlie my concerns.

I would like to request that this remain in strict confidence as I am afraid that if Coach Demott were to know I spoke out he would find ways to punish me for it. In fact the entire process of writing a letter to human resources has been called a “faggots” way of dealing with problems by Coach Demott.

Physical Injury Due to Imprudent Coaching: The action that has led me to finally speak out happened Thursday February, 28th following our house show. I had taken an awkward hit to my knee in a match and was being examined by Brian Duncan. This hit aggravated a previous injury, one that should never have happened, that I had sustained during a practice drill orchestrated by Coach Demott after practice had already been completed. An MRI revealed a partial tear of my PCL and a strain on a ligament in the back of my knee. I have been told that I can work through it but it may aggravate here and there. This injury can be enduring as many of the superstars on the main roster wrestle their whole careers with it.

I should never have had any issues with this knee but on that particular practice day, after a 3 hour morning session had ‘ended’ at 11 AM, Demott put 280lbs Gary Jackson back in the ring at 11:30 and forced 8 of us to give him 10 takedowns each. After Gary had bumped 60 times in a matter of minutes, I entered the ring and was asked to give him 10 fireman takedowns. On the first one he collapsed from exhaustion while on my back, driving my knees into the mat where I sustained this injury.

The hit I took aggravated it and Coach Demott pulled trainer Brian Duncan and I into the training room and said without any knowledge of my actual injury, “This injury can’t keep flaring up. It doesn’t look good perception wise to us (the office) or for your career going forward.” This injury was treated after the match and I was cleared by Duncan at the time.

Based on Coach Demott’s statement I feel that I am in a position where I have to cover up any injuries I may have otherwise I will be punished or fired. The following week I was in severe discomfort but fearing repercussions I attempted to work through it. Coach Demott has not only instilled this fear in me but I have spoken to several other members of the roster who have been made to feel by Coach Demott that their current injuries are signs of weakness as men, and could potentially lead Coach Demott to advocate for their firing.

On two separate occasions Coach Demott forced me to perform dangerous moves without properly warming up. One incident followed my first evaluation where Canyon Ceman asked me to start working on my parkour and gymnastics moves. It was 7:30 am before practice and he saw me standing in the ring with Enzo Amore and said, “Do a takedown let go of him and do a back flip then go back to him.” The idea made no sense, I was not properly warmed up, and I nearly landed on my head on one attempt. Thesecond incident was before a live event he wanted Oliver Gray to test out his finisher on someone so he grabbed me and forced me to take a high bump on my neck without warming up. I had missed a week of practice because of a neck strain prior to this and Coach Demott was well aware of that.

I have also watched and participated in drills that were hazardous to our safety. He has made us do squats on the top rope including some students who had never been up that high in their careers. He made the beginners group perform monkey flips without a crash pad and the first six who participated landed on their heads and necks and were lucky not to have been seriously injured. The aforementioned drill in which Gary Jackson injured my knee also saw Memo Montenegro injury his neck and shoulder. He was on his 40th bump in 5 minutes and got dizzy before his 7th consecutive hip toss and landed on his head.

Unprofessional Work Environment: The issue of physical well-being is not my only concern. I am an educated individual who worked at Cal State Northridge with Professors and students. I know how one is suppose to conduct one’s self in a professional sense. I also understand that this is a unique business and the lines on proper behavior may be a bit blurred. Yet there is no question that Coach Demott, on a daily basis, not only makes unprofessional choices in words and actions, choices that go against many policies of this company, but choices that have created a culture of fear and negativity in this system. Showing up each day for training is mentally agonizing because of the comments we are all forced to hear. He routinely makes fun of anyone sitting out because of injury and also makes rude comments about people’s names and personal lives and has established a hostile work environment through verbal assaults. To wit:

• Demott constantly refers to Oliver Gray as Joel Pedophile which personally enrages me because I used to help a Psychology Professor in Los Angeles do lectures for sexually abused children. • When Dante Dash referred to his finishing move as the Davey boy, as it was utilized by the late Davey Smith who died tragically, Coach Demott makes the following comment, “The Davey Boy? What turning blue and dropping dead on the lawn?” • Coach Demott told student Enzo Amore that he hopes he dies. • Demott also told our entire morning class and Ricky Steamboat’s class to kill themselves just days after we tolled the ring bell 10 times for the late Mike Graham a former star FCW wrestler, who committed suicide. • Coach Demott routinely bullies Enzo verbally as well as physically. I have seen Enzo on several occasions be slapped in the face by Bill. During one practice he decided to show Enzo how doing a slam wrong could hurt someone, so he picked Enzo up and dropped him without warning directly on his head and neck. He then decided that each time a student slammed his 100lbs heavy bag with bad form that student had to slam one of his peers the same way. Demott found this drill amusing yet each student was put at serious injury risk. • Demott has grabbed an injured David Harwood by his neck pulled him to the office door and verbally chastised him for standing by the ring during practice when he wasn’t cleared, even though he was simply listening to a lecture by Ricky Steamboat. • Demott has kicked Memo Montenegro in the groin and laughed as he crumbled into a heap. Memo being a Mexican immigrant to the United States has a heavy accent, which Coach Demott constantly criticizes and makes fun of. • He routinely will attempt to bust students lip on the bottom rope when they stand to close to the ring. On several occasions he has punished students for mistakes in practice by making them bend forward putting their face near the ropes so that Coach Demott can bounce the rope off the bridge of their nose. • He routinely calls Gary Jackson a fat tub of goo, tells Osmund Cherry who is of African descent, to go back to Africa and most recently has made derogatory remarks about sexual preferences to Brandon Traven. • Coach Demott insinuated that Traven is gay and used the derogatory term “half a sissy” to make fun of him simply because he sat out practice and has had several injuries in the last couple months. This is not the first time he targeted Brandon either. In December I witnessed Coach Demott question Traven about a head injury in the trainer’s room. After Traven explained that a blow to the head in practice had made him dizzy Demott slapped him in the head and left the room. • I witnessed a similar incident a few months ago when Alexander Russev was recovering from neck surgery. Coach Demott saw Russev wearing a NY Jets shirt at practice and not liking that sports team proceeded to physically grab Russev by the collar and rip the shirt off him. Russev was not cleared for any contact at that point and clearly showed physical pain after the incident. Following this incident a group of students were discussing how this sort of thing happened before with an injured Briley Pierce. Briley had a broken leg and Coach Demott kicked him in his medical boot. This happened before I was under contract but it nonetheless seems to fit a pattern of negligent and abusive behavior that I have observed with Coach Demott and is worth investigating further. • According to Oliver Gray, he was once told that if he sat out practice to rest a very bad low back injury that CoachDemott would pull him from the NXT tapings and from attending the Royal Rumble, even though the trainer had requested that Oliver sit out just one practice.

I have been in this system under Coach Demott for 8 months now and was recently told that I am not improving at a rate that is acceptable. I have made concerted efforts in the past to practice more often and work on the parkour moves requested by Canyon Ceman. However Bill has routinely kicked me out of the building after practice including a day when WWE superstar Alex Riley asked me to work on some parkour moves with him. This along with his constant interrupting of practices just to put people down and make negative comments has all but killed any motivation I have to spend extra time around him.

It should be stated that I am not a vindictive person. I am open-minded and do not have a problem with off-color jokes or difficult practice drills. I was signed to this company after Steve Regal told me he saw tremendous improvement in my ring work between tryouts. I told Mr. Regal that I could only imagine how good I could become working 24/7 for this company. I have always been intrinsically motivated and will practice something until I perfect it. Yet I personally feel that coach Demott creates an environment that hinders my opportunities to improve. Coach Demott restricts our practices, instead opting for dangerous and unproductive drills, while constantly verbally assaulting our appearances, personalities, sexual preferences, injuries, and character it seems impossible for me to maximize my time in the ring. In fact even as recently as training on March 4th, guest trainer Lance Storm went out of his way to demonstrate moves to me that Coach Demott had kicked me out of the building for not doing correctly. When I asked him how to do them Coach Demott said, “That was shit Judas, get out of the building.”

Is this the type of work environment that the WWE desires? When can we set up a time to discuss this matter?

In closing I would be remiss if I did not clarify to you that this is solely a problem with Bill Demott and not a problem with the fine coaching staff that has been assembled around him. For example, Ricky Steamboat has been a terrific help to me and always provides me with positive reinforcement and quality examples to learn from. Terry Taylor has gone out of his way to pull me aside and give me helpful advice. Billy Gunn has been an amazingly refreshing force bringing knowledge and enthusiasm that has been extremely beneficial to the system. The changes that have recently occurred in the WWE have been excellent and I am excited for the future plans of WWE Developmental. It is because of these positive attributes that I am expressing my concerns to you. I want to be a part of a solution to the problems that I have listed, one that will lead to future success for the developmental system.

Thank you for your time, Austin Matelson

Ryan Nemeth, who formerly competed as Briley Pierce in WWE NXT, vouched for the legitimacy of Draven’s accusations in this Twitter message.

AJ Styles On Samoa Joe’s ROH Return, “Styles Clash” Controversy & More

4

International wrestling star AJ Styles appeared on the “Chad Dukes Wrestling Show” recently to discuss a number of topics, including the return of Samoa Joe to Ring Of Honor, the controversy over his “Styles Clash” finisher and more. Below are highlights from the interview.

On Samoa Joe returning to ROH: “Joe coming back to Ring of Honor is huge. He and I talked before he released his statement but I was excited about him maybe having the opportunity for him to come back to Ring of Honor because it’s exciting to have a guy who you know works hard and can do unbelievable things and has a history at Ring of Honor. I’m excited to see the welcome he gets when he comes back, not just from the guys in the back, because I know they will welcome him, but from the fans waiting on him.”

On ROH: “I think they’re trying. You don’t want to move too fast, you start to move fast and you make holes that cost you your company. I think they’re doing the right thing in bringing in these guys, giving these dream matches that people want to see. To me it’s not taking a step back, it’s actually going somewhere having fun and having great matches.”

On the Styles Clash: “The one thing I can’t control is your head, that’s up to you, and there’s only one thing you can’t do in the move is tuck it. There’s no reason for you to do that.

At the end of the day if they don’t want to take it I have no problem not doing the Styles Clash, there are other things that I can do. But if the promoter wants it and everybody’s cool with it that’s what we’re gonna do.”

Konnan Says Vince Russo Pitched Bringing Chyna In To Lucha Underground

On the latest episode of MLW Radio with Konnan, MSL and Court Bauer, Konnan spoke about Vince Russo’s visit to last weekend’s Lucha Underground tapings.

When asked about the reaction to Vince Russo attending last weekend’s Lucha Underground tapings, Konnan said nobody was making a big deal about it. He saw Russo in the VIP area, Russo loves the show and he asked Russo about the rumors that he’ll be writing for Lucha Underground. He said Russo brushed them off as “just rumors” and said he was there to have a good time.

Lucha Underground Executive Denies Working With Vince Russo

As their conversation turned to the women wrestlers in Lucha Underground, Russo then said they should consider bringing in Chyna. Konnan was shocked by the pitch and questioned ‘WTF’ she could bring to their operation. He couldn’t believe the suggestion and questioned where she would fit in.

Konnan acknowledged Russo gets a lot of heat, some of which is deserved, he’s not a bad guy, he knows Russo misses the business, but doesn’t see a place for him in Lucha Underground.

1

Veteran TNA producer Bryan Edwards has parted ways with the company. The longtime TNA executive announced his departure on social media.

Edwards appears to be well-liked by those in the promotion, as several TNA stars sent him positive messages on Twitter soon after he announced his departure.

Edwards posted the following series of tweets as an official statement:

More On What Led To Brock Lesnar’s Walkout, AJ Lee’s Tweets To Stephanie

44

– Even more details are coming in regarding the major argument between Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon that saw Lesnar storm out of last week’s WWE RAW without appearing on television, as scheduled.

While it was known that the issue was related to business matters (not creative plans), former WWE writer ‘MetsFan4Ever’ revealed that Lesnar told McMahon he wanted to attend Saturday night’s UFC 184 pay-per-view to discuss a potential deal with UFC President Dana White. McMahon was strongly against Lesnar attending the show, which caused him to storm out, leaving his WWE future in question.

As we saw over the weekend, Lesnar did in fact attend the UFC show and was seen cageside talking with Dana White. After talking with a few people in the know over the weekend, it looks like the chances of Lesnar returning to UFC are over 50% at this point.

– Bryan Alvarez of f4wonline.com has provided some new information regarding AJ Lee calling out Stephanie McMahon on Twitter last week regarding the way WWE Divas are paid and portrayed on television. While Lesnar’s walkout was a huge story last week, it’s said that there’s even more heat on AJ Lee.

Mr. Anderson On Samoa Joe Leaving TNA, WWE Shutting Down His Ideas & More

1

TNA star Mr. Anderson recently appeared on “Ring Rust Radio” to promote his in-ring return at Impact Wrestling, the TNA tour of the U.K. and more. Below are highlights from the interview.

On his in-ring return at Impact Wrestling and the move from Spike TV to Destination America: “Nothing but positivity. At first it went from a network that was pretty large, to a network that was smaller and didn’t have the reach of Spike TV. You’re always sort of tentative and don’t know what the future holds. You look at cases across the board of startup networks and when they get programming that people enjoy, those people call up their cable providers and ask for the packages that include that channel. I’m looking forward to it and it’s a great fit for us. I got a chance to go up to LA a few weeks ago and spend some time with the folks from Destination America. They are phenomenal people and are excited to have us on their network.”

On why he feels TNA is so popular in Europe: “I think the obvious thing is we have a broader reach over there. WWE is on paid TV over there and we are on free TV so we reach more homes. When we go over there, it is my favorite place to wrestle. The crowds are so much fun and so into every match. The last few years we have put on shows that are three and a half hours long, and sometimes that can get tiresome for the crowd. That’s not the case with the UK, they stick with us and it’s a lot of fun. Also I think as far as drawing in more UK fans, the fact we have been doing the British Boot Camp for the past two years helps. Rockstar Spud he is just on fire and the sky is the limit for him. He gets it, he loves wrestling, he is passionate about the business, entertaining, and always coming up with new ideas.”

On if he’s ever considered a career as a commentator: “Yes I have and I actually have my own podcast. I started it about eight months ago on DVMPE.com, ITunes, Stitcher, and it’s called “Push the Button”. The interesting thing about is it’s not about wrestling, it is it has nothing to do with wrestling. It’s the things that interest me outside of the wrestling world. Things like politics and religion, things that are supposed to be the most important things in peoples’ lives but for some reason were not supposed to talk about these things. I always wanted to sort of have an open discussion, be able to talk about them, not get mad or upset, and walk away as friends. My co-host happens to be a Christian and I am not. We talk about and delve into all sorts of different topics.”

On if he feels he will return to the world title picture this year: “That is always something in the back of every wrestler’s head I think. I don’t think you should get into this business if it’s not your ultimate goal. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say that, everybody has different goals but that’s always been my goal. I think I went through some transitions in the last few years, and this last year I really focused my energy back into the business. I have done this for 15, almost 16 years now, and you go through those weaning periods. I’ve fallen in love with the business again and that’s definitely on my list of goals to achieve this year.”

On his time as part of the Aces & Eights: “Creatively, you’re dealing with a group of ten guys that all have different ideas, people who are writing stuff behind the scenes, and at the end of the day you all have to agree on certain things. I think in every situation and match I have been in in the wrestling business, I never looked backed and said, “that was awesome, boy I just loved that match I was involved in”. Usually it’s actually the opposite. I ignore all the positive things that happened in the match and focus on the little things that irritate me that somebody else might not even notice. There is certain things I wish I could change. I wish we could of played some things out a little longer, but I also feel at some point the Aces and Eights segments were eating up so much time on TV. That would be my only regret or criticism. We would come out four times a night and it would lose its luster after you already heard the song three times, by the fourth time it means even less.”

On an idea he wanted to do that was turned down: “There was a program I pitched in the WWE for a character idea. It was a heel and had to do with laying guys out back stage with the camera never seeing who it was. I was a baby face on TV but all these people would be laid out backstage. Back in Vietnam, they would lay ace of spades cards on the dead bodies of the killed. It was an idea that was given to me by Steve Austin at one point. So that would be my calling card and then at some point I would come out to make the big save and turn on who I was saving to reveal myself. Throw an ace of spades card on them after. After pitching in WWE it got turned down, so I pitched it in TNA and they liked it but nothing came of it. I try to as much as I can stay out of that aspect of the business. I don’t involve myself in story lines and angles. I take what is given to me and make the most of it.”

On who he has enjoyed working with the most in his career: “Who did I enjoy the most? I enjoyed working with Taker. He was amazing to work with and so helpful. He took MYP and myself under his wings. I always felt like in the WWE that there were two mountain tops. There was the SmackDown mountain with Taker, Batista, Kane, Booker T, and Rey Mysterio on top of the mountain, and they were throwing rope ladders down. Lending helping hands, saying, “Come on up here, the weather is fine, we can all breathe up here, and we can all make money together”. On the other mountain, you had people who shall remain nameless, who were pushing boulders and hot pots of oil down the mountain to get you off. I remember Taker being enormously helpful in my career and really gave me some fantastic advice. Some of it I took, some of it I didn’t. Who would I like to work most with today? In TNA, I have yet to get my hands on Gunner and he is the total package. He has a tremendous look, his work is amazing, what he does in the ring looks believable, great on the mic, and passionate about the business. So I would really like to get my hands on him. I’m getting ready to do something with EC3 that I’m really looking forward to. He has been one of my favorite people to watch the last few years. MVP and I have never had a chance to wrestle each other. We tagged when we were in the WWE and have been friends for several years, but have never had the chance to do anything in the ring against each other.”

On Samoa Joe parting ways with TNA: “Joe was a locker room leader, no question about it. Not a locker room leader that raised his hand and says, “I want to be the leader, I want to be your leader, I want you to look up to me”. People just naturally gravitated to him and his respect is all earned. When a guy like that leaves it impacts the locker room. In the business, we have come accustomed to people coming and going all the time, that’s just how this industry operate. Were still friends and still all connected. You can go five, ten years without talking to somebody, and then bump into them and pick up like it was yesterday. Joe, whatever he does, even if it’s just indies, he will be just fine.”

Hogan Banner Removed From MSG, Simon Cowell Getting Into Wrestling?

23

– On Friday night, a banner for WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was hoisted to the top of Madison Square Garden as part of Hulk Hogan Appreciation Night. We’ve received word from several readers who attended a New York Knicks game at the Garden over the weekend saying that Hogan’s banner is no longer there.

As of this writing, there’s no word on where the banner will wind up, or if WWE will simply hang it whenever they hold shows at MSG.

– Legendary TV producer Simon Cowell (American Idol, X-Factor) is looking to “revive” professional wrestling on to British television, according to the UK’s Sun newspaper. Cowell grew up a huge pro wrestling fan in the 1970’s. An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper:

“Now American wrestling’s big, I think it’s a good idea to bring it back. But you have to bring back really big people. Simon seemed really excited about bringing back wrestling. If anyone can get it back on the box, he can.”

WWE and TNA currently air on UK television, but it looks like Cowell wants to compete and bring his own vision to the small screen. Perhaps he’s seen the success Mark Burnett has had with Lucha Underground on the El Rey Network, which has carved its own niche here in the US, despite the similar competition that Cowell would face in the UK.

More Details On Brock Lesnar & Vince McMahon’s “Heated Argument” Backstage At Last Monday’s RAW

59

The timing of Brock Lesnar attending the UFC 184 pay-per-view on Saturday night has a lot of people in the industry talking, especially considering the fact that Lesnar and Vince McMahon had a big blow up at Monday’s RAW that led to Lesnar walking out during the show.

As far as the blow up is concerned, there are still not a lot of details regarding the situation. We can, however, report that whatever happened between Lesnar and Vince has something to do with negotiating a new WWE contract, and that things got so bad that both were said to be overheard loudly yelling at each other to the point that some became concerned, especially for McMahon. Those who could hear the argument noted that it sounded “really bad.”

Lesnar is friends with Tony Ferguson, a UFC Lightweight contender who fought in the pay-per-view opener on Saturday night. In fact, Lesnar was Ferguson’s coach on The Ultimate Fighter back in 2011.

According to UFC President Dana White, Lesnar “just happened to be in town,” as that’s the explanation he gave for Lesnar being at the show, however it’s pretty obvious that Lesnar is “playing the game” in terms of negotiations, in an attempt to get the best offer for his services.

While no one seems to know what Lesnar’s issue is with WWE’s new contract offer, it’s worth pointing out that there have been a lot of talent that have gotten offers from WWE recently that included a lot of weird stipulations, including extended non-competes and verbal agreements being made that end up being completely different than what ends up being written into the physical contracts.

It will be interesting to see what happens at the March 9th edition of RAW, as that is the next show that Lesnar is being advertised to attend. At the WWE SmackDown television taping this past Tuesday night, things regarding Lesnar were so bad that the WWE writers actually asked McMahon if they should write a “back-up version” of WrestleMania 31, one that wouldn’t include Lesnar in any way, shape or form. McMahon replied with a firm “no,” and insinuated that he would sue Lesnar if he didn’t work the show.

If Lesnar does not work the remainder of his current deal with WWE he would likely be in breach of his contract, unless there are unknown extenuating circumstances.

WWE Teasing Diva Hall Of Fame Announcement For Monday’s RAW

39

WWE is promoting another WWE Hall Of Fame announcement to take place on Monday’s edition of WWE RAW, which takes place from New Jersey.

The official WWE website has an article up today hinting that the next Hall Of Fame announcement will be for a WWE Diva.

“Who will be joining “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rikishi and The Bushwhackers in the Hall’s Class of 2015 the night before WrestleMania 31?,” stated the WWE website.

The article continues, “Could it be a pioneering woman grappler who competed alongside the likes of Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah? Could it be one of the Japanese women who brought their hard-hitting style to America in the early 1990s? Is it one of the sultry Divas from the infamous Attitude Era? Is it even a competitor, or could it be a woman who often accompanied legendary Superstars into battle?”

The belief is that the Diva that WWE is alluding to will be Madusa (aka Alundra Blayze).
