WWE officials are interested in having The Undertaker wrestle a match at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.
As for who The Undertaker will wrestle at WrestleMania XXX in 2014, the early frontrunners are John Cena and Ryback.
Comment Below and tell us who you think The Undertaker should wrestle at WrestleMania XXX.
Despite The Rock saying that WrestleMania 29 might have been his final match, most people within WWE expect that he’ll wrestle again. His final match will likely take place at WrestleMania XXX next April.
Prior to his recent injury The Rock was scheduled to wrestle Brock Lesnar at either SummerSlam or next year’s WrestleMania.
There’s also a chance he could appear at Hell in a Cell, which takes place in October from his home town of Miami, Florida.
[cenachampshirt]- According to a source who was backstage at RAW, a lot of people got emotional during John Cena’s Make-A-Wish segment. You can view that segment and more videos from RAW here.
– A fan who was in attendance at RAW noted that Ryback got absolutely no reaction when he appeared after the show’s main event. Scott Hall tweeted that CM Punk might be getting a phone call from WWE soon if Ryback doesn’t get over.
– Zeb Colter mentioned on Twitter that he had a bad fever at Monday’s RAW, where he wrestled Ricardo Rodriguez & Big E Langston in the opening contest:
Seriouly, last night I was MAJOR SICK. I had a temp of 102.4, headache, dizziness and still had the match won until Ricardo stole it. Thief!
On Monday’s RAW, WWE began promoting the upcoming “Total Divas” reality show that will premiere on the E! Network this summer. The show will be one hour long and will feature The Bella Twins, The Funkdactyls, Natyla and two new WWE Divas – Eva Marie & Jo-Jo Offerman [Photos].
Originally, the plan was for the cast of “Total Divas” to be comprised of women who attended WWE’s recent Divas casting call, but the company felt that not enough women would be right for the project.
E! camera men were on hand just at WrestleMania 29 and conveniently got footage of the The Bella Twins and Funkadactyls being told that their mixed tag match (with Brodus Clay, Tensai & Team Rhodes Scholars) would be cut from the PPV. Some are speculating that WWE never intended for the match to take place – and simply wanted to get the reactions of the women involved in Total Divas.
Expect to see the cast members of Total Divas featured on prominently on WWE television through the summer.
ESPN.com‘s Jon Robinson has posted his weekly WWE Power Rankings, with World Heavyweight champion Dolph Ziggler topping this week’s list. Here’s the Top 10:
1. Dolph Ziggler
2. The Shield
3. John Cena
4. Ryback
5. Randy Orton
6. Cody Rhodes
7. Team Hell No
8. Alberto Del Rio
9. Fandango
10. The Undertaker
Robinson suggests that if John Cena’s injury keeps him out of action for long, WWE should strip Cena of the title and hold a one-night 8-man tournament to crown a new Unified champion:
“Dolph Ziggler combines the technical skill of Mr. Perfect, the athletic electricity of Shawn Michaels and the hip gyrations of “Ravishing” Rick Rude all in one superstar. And with John Cena suffering an injured Achilles during the WWE’s European tour, this might be Ziggler’s chance to not only show off with his World Heavyweight championship, but win the WWE title and unify the belts (it’s not like they separate the brands anymore, anyway).”
COMMENT BELOW and tell us shat you think about WWE stripping John Cena of the WWE title and holding a tournament to crown a new champion.
– A report at PWInsider.com states that there is currently lot of tension between The Rock and WWE management, although neither side will admit it publicly. While The Rock always has his detractors in the WWE locker room, some people feel that The Rock didn’t do right by WWE during his most recent run.
It’s unclear exactly what the issue is, but it could have to do with The Rock not appearing on WWE television enough due to his busy schedule and not promoting WWE enough during his media appearances. That said, The Rock is still a valuable member of the WWE family and the general feeling is that things will eventually get worked out.
– Monday’s RAW from Nationwide Arena in Columbus was a legitimate sellout with 14,282 fans in attendance.
– WWE will return to Columbus, Ohio on October 8th for a SmackDown taping. The pre-sale password is SMACKDOWNTV.
– Here is WWE’s official promo video hyping the new “Total Divas” reality show that premieres on E! this June. The show will feature the Bella Twins, the Funkadactyls, Natayla and 2 new WWE divas: Eva Marie and JoJo Offerman [Photos].
– There are a lot of people in WWE wondering exactly what’s going on with Antonio Cesaro, specifically, the way he’s been booked in recent months. After a strong upper-midcard push in 2012 and a lengthy run with the United States Championship, his stock has apparently crashed and his omission from the WrestleMania 29 card was the strongest indication yet that WWE has put the breaks on his career momentum.
Asking around, nobody seems to know why Cesaro is being pulled “pulled” the way he is. As best as people can tell, it’s an example of WWE creative not having a clear vision for many of their Superstars.
– As noted on Monday, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil visited Ohio State University prior to RAW and trained with the college football team. Footage of their meeting with the OSU football team and Coach Urban Meyer aired on the WWE App during RAW.
The Prime Time Players were also featured in a WWE App segment with the Columbus Crew Major League Soccer Team, who were in attendance at RAW.
– Brock Lesnar and Triple H settling their rivalry inside a steel cage has been the plan all along. The match was originally planned for later this year, however CM Punk’s hiatus led WWE to move the match up to Extreme Rules.
– The latest word on Rosa Mendes’ WWE status is that she won’t be back on the road until she addresses the personal issues that led her to being sent home from last week’s European tour.
– WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn posted this Tout video after RAW addressing her “secret admirer”:
– Former WWE and TNA star Daivari turns 29 years old today.
– Paul Heyman’s HeymanHustle blog has posted an exclusive new photo gallery of former WWE Diva, international fashion designer and soon-to-be wife of The MIz, Maryse Ouellet.
– Tonight’s WWE SmackDown & Main Event tapings take place from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. After Monday’s WWE RAW from Columbus went off the air, John Cena thanked the Make-A-Wish kids again. Cena said his ankle is busted, but that wasn’t going to keep him out of action when they came to see him.
Fandango’s music then hit, which the crowd loved. He asked them, the crowd “What’s my name?” a few times. The crowd responded, “Fan-Dan-Go” and that ended the show.
– WWE NXT Diva Summer Rae once again appeared as Fandango’s dancing partner on RAW. She was acknowledged by name for the first time since debuting, so it looks like she’s joining the main roster.
– Friday’s WWE SmackDown will feature The Shield member Dean Ambrose vs. Kane, Ambrose’s second singles match in WWE after facing the Undertaker last week. Ambrose has long been pegged as the Shield member with the most breakout potential, so it’s interesting to see what he can do on his own.
– Speaking of Rollins, he tweeted this late Monday night after RAW:
