Colt Cabana Undergoes Finger Surgery (Picture)

Colt Cabana was hospitalized in California over the weekend due to a bad infection in his finger. The former “Scotty Goldman” underwent surgery on Saturday and he has documented the ordeal via social media.

In typical Colt fashion, he’s got a good sense of humor about the whole situation. He posted a pretty funny series of tweets – including a freakin’ disgusting picture of what the finger looks like.

Warning: One of the tweets below contains a picture that is not for the squeamish – view at your own risk:

He’s expected to be released from the hospital shortly, but will remain in California to see a specialist. It is unknown when he will return to the ring.

Meanwhile, his web series, Creative Has Nothing For You, will be on hiatus while he recovers.

Doctors Not Allowing Lilian Garcia To Fly To WWE Shows, Photo Of Stacy Keibler At The Dead Sea In Israel

4

SmackDown ring announcer Lilian Garcia participated in WWE.com’s Live Chat for Survivor Series Sunday night and said she has not returned to shows after being struck by a car Oct. 27 in Los Angeles, California, because doctors are prohibiting her from flying at this time. She does not know when she will return to events as she is still rehabbing her neck and back.

Garcia also said she was flattered by WWE Champion CM Punk remarking at THQ’s WWE ’13 roster reveal at SummerSlam Axxess in August that he would induct her into the WWE Hall of Fame next year—leading Jim Ross to immediately snark that the induction could take place “at the Marriott.”

“I will never forget CM Punk recently saying that he feels I will eventually be a Hall of Famer. That was a very big compliment! Hope it comes true!!” she said.

– Former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler vacationed in Israel last week and tweeted the following photo of herself at the Dead Sea.

TNA Knockout Responds To Eve Torres Imitating Her, Zema Ion Speaks On Being An “X Division Guy”

0

– As seen Sunday night at Survivor Series, Eve Torres added a new layer to her heel character by disingenuously waving to the audience during her ring entrance for her WWE Divas Championship defense against Kaitlyn. TNA Knockout Madison Rayne, who is known to perform that entrance style as part of her conceited beauty queen gimmick, was immediately besieged with messages on Twitter notifying her of the WWE Diva’s imitation and responded, “Hahaha, I love you guys!!! Imitation flatters me, it doesn’t upset me. I’m pretty sure NONE of the KO’s can be duplicated!”

– Zema Ion appeared on Extreme Pro Wrestling Radio on 100.3 FM KFAN in Minneapolis and was asked to give his thoughts on the X Division Championship being used as a pass to a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at TNA Wrestling’s annual Destination X pay-per-view event.

“(Austin) Aries is blazing the trails for X Division wrestlers such as myself and he’s showing we don’t have to be confined to our own division,” said Ion. “We are talented enough to take on the heavyweight wrestlers and go after the heavyweight titles. What he did at Destination X and the stipulation that every year the X Division Champion can cash in an opportunity for the world title at that pay-per-view, it’s a great thing. It gives us a chance to stand on that stage, pay-per-view, main event, World Title.”

Ion was also asked whether being labeled an “X-Division guy” bothers him. He states, “It doesn’t really bother me. I will say there have been several times that I was thinking it would be great to get in the ring with guys like RVD or AJ Styles and test myself see how I can fair against those type of wrestlers. Its frustrating in some ways because I wanted those type of opportunities too and now it seems like things are changing and I may get those opportunities now.”

Audio of his appearance is available here.

Despite the injury, she continued the bout as planned, which concluded with her receiving an Implant Buster from Kong. She was admitted to a emergency room following the contest.

Rain tweeted an image of her wrist Sunday morning.

Jim Ross Blogs About Sunday’s Survivor Series PPV

0

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR wrote about last night’s Survivor Series PPV:

CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Ryback “Biggest match of the night as far as the promotion was concerned was the WWE Title Bout featuring @CMPunk, @JohnCena, and @Ryback22. It seemed that this match accomplished several things including getting Punk to becoming a 365 day WWE Champion and on an apparent, collision course to meet the @TheRock at the Royal Rumble, or so it seems. That could always change between now and then considering that WWE could shock us with a TLC PPV ending that would surprise.”

Big Show vs. Sheamus “@WWESheamus vs. @WWETheBigShow was the closest thing to an old school match on the PPV. I love their pacing as I’m not into today’s, microwave, move a second mind set on which some fans embrace. Sheamus’ chair shot attack on Show was memorable and straight from Idaho. I’m a fan of this rivalry.”

The Debuts Of Rollins, Abrose & Reigns: “The inclusion of the NXT talents into the equation intrigues me and I’m anxious to see how these three, talented young men evolve on WWE programming over the next several weeks. @WWERollins, @TheDeanAmbrose, and @RomanReigns all have something viable to contribute but, as usual, it will depend on how they continue to invest in their game and maximize their ‘playing time.’ Bottom line, WWE has brought three, potentially viable talents into the mix in an impactful manner which I find refreshing.”

“I’ve seen all three of these young, NXT talents enough to know that their in ring skills are, by and large, solid and that they all possess the necessary personalities to contribute to WWE for years to come. This trio’s introduction was one of the brightest aspects of the Survivor Series for me.”

WWE Looks At Ryback’s Attackers: Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns

7

WWE.com has an article up looking at the trio of NXT stars that attacked Ryback at Survivor Series: NXT Champion Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Here’s what they wrote about each man:

Seth Rollins: “Seth Rollins is the first ever WWE NXT Champion, having won a tournament to crown the inaugural titleholder. This native of Davenport, Iowa, came into NXT with a sterling reputation from his work on the independent circuit and immediately made an impact in WWE’s developmental system. Perhaps the word best used to describe Rollins would be “chaotic.” His in-ring style is calculated, yet frantic. Employing a combination of high-risk maneuvers and devastating strikes, Rollins’ offense is spectacular and elicits show-closing ovations.”

Roman Reigns: “Like his fellow WWE NXT standouts, Roman Reigns is a fierce competitor and an exceptional athlete. Inside the ring, Reigns is a heavy hitter, and he is just as aggressive outside the ring. The powerhouse always acts with a sense of purpose, depicting power and commanding respect. Put simply, Roman Reigns views himself as the most valuable commodity in NXT.”

Dean Ambrose: “Dean Ambrose is every bit as effective as Rollins, but there’s something slightly off about this dangerous competitor. From the moment he marched onto the scene, WWE NXT fans were unable to take their eyes off Ambrose. Fearless, wild and always unpredictable, the iconoclast more than lived up to his reputation as a world-class competitor and infamous troublemaker.”

“In October last year, Ambrose created quite a stir when WWE champion CM Punk appeared at NXT for an autograph signing. Ambrose decided to verbally assault Punk on the microphone, resulting in a raucous and unforgettable scene when The Straight Edge Savior challenged Ambrose that evening. The 30-minute showdown between the two physical competitors blew away the lucky fans who witnessed it.”
