TNA iMPACT! Going Live Next Monday Night?!

1

Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke appeared on the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show Tuesday morning and may have accidentally revealed a bombshell announcement.

Brooke mentioned that she will be in Orlando, Florida next Monday night for “the live broadcast.” Bubba, who now works for TNA as a backstage correspondent, responded by saying she made the announcement too early.

According to F4WOnline.com, it is confirmed that Spike TV has given the green light to another live Monday night TNA show. While the exact date that is has yet to be revealed, could we see TNA head-to-head with RAW next Monday night?

One would think that TNA would want a few weeks to build up another Monday night special. At the same time, the buzz and momentum TNA received from January 4th is eroding by the day and they might want to strike again before its too late.

We’ll have more on this story later today.

Hall & Waltman's TNA Deals, New TNA Show, Lacey

0

– Scott Hall is working on a short-term deal as company officials want him to prove himself before they invest. While he’s not in the shape he was in during his peak, many feel he’s in better shape than in years past.

– The former X-Pac, Sean Waltman, is also on a short-term deal and there was some heat on him for being late to last Tuesday’s television taping.

– Ric Flair is working on a second book.

– TNA will begin airing it’s live pre-iMPACT and post-iMPACT show on their website this Thursday night at 8:30pm and 11pm EST. Jeremy Borash, Don West and SoCal Val will be taking calls from fans and discussing iMPACT.

– Jeremy Borash noted on the Pain Clinic radio show over the weekend that an episode of TNA’s Spin Cycle had to be re-shot two weeks because of Lacey Von Erich. They originally filmed with Lacey and Kevin Nash but the show ended up being too raunchy to air. Borash said they had to re-tape it and Lacey had to clean up her “potty mouth.”

McMahon's Reaction To Hardy In TNA, Former Diva Backstage

0

— While Vince McMahon was no-selling Jeff Hardy appearing on TNA’s three-hour iMPACT! broadcast last week backstage, it’s been said that he was “privately seething” over the former WWE Champion’s decision to jump ship to the competition. As noted earlier, WWE promptly removed Hardy from its opening video montage. WWE officials were hoping his legal issues would be settled in time for a match with CM Punk at WrestleMania, but with those plans now out the window, they’ll likely go with Punk vs. Rey Mysterio in a Hair vs. Mask Match.

— WWE has released the trailer for its Best of Raw 2009 DVD, which hits stores two weeks from now. The video segment highlights Raw’s most notable moments from the past year — many of which courtesy of DX. You can view the trailer at the following link.

— Former WWE Women’s Champion Molly Holly was backstage visiting friends last night at the Target Center. The former WWE Diva lives in Minnesota and typically visits friends when WWE tours the area.

— The new media blurb NBC put out regarding the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice makes zero mention of Maria Kanellis and Bill Goldberg.

World Wrestling Entertainment has signed luchador Super Nova to a developmental contract. He is headed to WWE developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling.

Super Nova worked in an ECW match a few weeks back against Trent Baretta and Caylen Croft.

WWE seemed to be impressed with Nova’s abilities and recognized his skill in aerial combat.

Reports suggest that WWE see Nova’s potential to be the “new Rey Mysterio.”

It is expected that WWE will continue to allow Super Nova to use his mask.

Bischoff Talks About TNA vs. WWE, iMPACT! Moving To Mondays

2

Thanks to Marty Hots for this recap of Eric Bischoff’s appearance on Monday Night Mayhem. The show can be listened to at the link below.

Eric Bischoff was on Monday Night Mayhem – Interview
http://www.mondaynightmayhem.com

At 5:52pm PST, Eric Bischoff made his appearance live on this interview.

Bischoff was introduced as negotiating a deal with Hogan to TNA. Host promotes Genesis this Sunday night. Bischoff stayed silent since Monday after the record drawing TNA iMPACT! rating. http://twitter.com/EBischoff was promoted as well.

Bischoff says he feels inadequate with that buildup they did for him. He’s sitting with his business partner Jason Hervey at Santa Monica, California.

Host asks how it was like last week on Monday Live at Impact and his expectations leading into the show as well as the same locker room with Ric Flair and Vince Russo.

Bischoff said last week was easy. He says he was working with the folks at TNA since October, working with the creative team, and having a great time in the process. He said it was the result of 2 months of hard and fun work. Backstage, it was a lot of fun. He said as well as the potential conflict and drama, he said it was very amicable, positive, and that everyone was excited to be there. Nothing but a great time and a rewarding experience.

Hosts bring up Hogan and the initial thinking of Hogan being WWE for life. Host brings up the press conference and if Bischoff thought things would go like that so soon. Bischoff said if you said it’s July, he’d say no as there was so much distance between the visions of everyone involved. But after a couple of meetings (Nashville at Dixie’s home), they knew that the chemistry was right and that it was just a matter of making sure that from their perspective (Bischoff/Hervey Entertainment) that it made sense. The enthusiasm was there, but he wanted to make sure that the business made sense and the same went with TNA.

He said everyone was committed and serious. He said it started in May/June but the negotiations didn’t finish in September. After that, they discussed when should they have the press conference – Bischoff said let’s do it in Vince McMahon’s backyard – Madison Square Garden. MSG thought they were getting a press conference on Hogan’s book tour, but they literally surprised everyone by announcing the TNA deal. Bischoff says everyone knows how he works, he likes surprises and pulling the rug underneath from everyone.

They then talked about when do they launch on TV. Jason then said wait a minute, if you’re going into a fight, you have to pick it – go to the biggest bully in the bar, smack them, and fight. If they get the chance to just slap the bully and get their attention, then that’s great.

A host says they got tons of an questions. He asks who besides AJ Styles does he think stands out on the roster. Eric Bischoff says it’s a fair question and a fair one to answer but he’s not going to answer it because there’s a lot of great talent there and the real truth is until both Hulk and he (more Hulk because he has a great feel for talent and Eric has more of a feel for stories) has a greater grasp of the talent. Eric says they need to spend more time knowing some of the talent there – he says it could be timing because some talent may not have shown much but it doesn’t mean they do not have something more to offer. They need to talk to the talent, see how they react, see how committed they are before they get off in terms of saying who they see is the future. He says they’d like to get to know the talent a lot more professionally and personally.

Host talks about paranoia about certain people’s jobs being compromised as a result of the talent being brought in. What is Eric’s reaction as a result of meeting the TNA talent for the first time and if the paranoia rumors are overstated. Host asks about the Bischoff character saying talent is fighting for their jobs.

Bischoff said Dixie said it weeks ago and they re-iterated it, you can only have so many people on your team and you have to have the best of the best. You can’t have 250 people on a football team and the same applies to a wrestling company. This would naturally breed insecurity and paranoia but this is what it is – it is the entertainment business. Everyone is concerned about their spot – at the end of the day those that can do will – and those that can’t – don’t. One of the things he has learned, he says do not judge people too quickly – get a chance to know them before making a rash decision. He believes not everyone is out there no matter how long they have been there should have seniority/tenure – this is a highly competitive and you’re only as good as your last crowd reaction type of a business. He hopes that the talent feels the pressure because that’s the business they are in. He says at the same time, they are going to have the opportunity and it’s up to them to prove themselves.

Host asks about Jeff Hardy. Bischoff said he had little to do with that other than supporting it. He said he can’t comment much of it and even if he could, he wouldn’t tell because that would ruin the surprise of it.

Host plugs Genesis and Impact on Thursday/Spike. Host says Spike Execs have publicly said that there is a possibility that TNA can go on Monday Live. Host says Hogan has said it too and that fans want it. Host asks what the likelihood of TNA going head to head with Raw prior or after WrestleMania. Bischoff said if he was a betting man, he wouldn’t make that bet because there’s too much he does not know. He only bets when there is something he sort of knows of. He knows that Spike is excited, “extremely extremely happy” with the ratings and positive reaction with everybody. Bischoff says when Dixie asked him when Hogan/Eric should have their first show, he didn’t even take a breath or swallow it. He said “go head to head with Raw on Monday Night”.

Bischoff said wrestling fans love battle/conflict, they love a good guy/bad guy, underdogs. He said TNA is a fraction in terms of infrastructure, staffing of what WCW was in 1991 when he came there as a seasquad talent. Because they are only 7 years old, have a fraction of staff/infrastructure, he said going head to head with Raw is a classic David vs. Goliath and that fans would support as long as they gave a good show. Bischoff said when they proposed it, people at the meeting said “What if we do a terrible rating?”. Bischoff said “it doesn’t friggin matter”. He said as long as you put up a decent fight, went up against the biggest monster, you’ll get the respect. That’s all it is.

He said TNA doesn’t have the machinery/staffing/infrastructure as WWE, they won. He said it wasn’t a perfect show, were there good and bad? Were there some parts that made him want to bang his head on the wall repeatedly? Yes. But he said nobody can tell him that their show didn’t exceed WWE’s show – He said action/excitement they won, but they were not slicker. The fact that they were able to do that made them really proud of them.

If it was up to Eric and he’d have influence, he said he’d go live sooner to take advantage of the momentum. But there are those at Spike that may have different agendas/plans. He said, Hogan/Eric/Dixie’s dream may not fit into theirs and only time will tell.

Host asks about Jim Cornette and quotes some of the old guys that talk about stuff that happened 15 years ago, Dixie’s limited wrestling knowledge and Cornette saying “dropping a turd” to everything on the table. Host talks about the negative feedback/wheelchair quarterbacking – how will Eric reply?

Eric says he doesn’t really know Jim but he met him in 1991. He talked to Terry about him and that Jim has been around for a long time about the psychology of the business. Eric says he doesn’t know him so he can respond to what he says on the Internet; that he hasn’t said anything positive about anything; that he’s famous for “ripping sh*t”; that he’s very articulate/cuts a great promo and great at ripping everyone. Eric said Jim hasn’t produced anything worth talking about. He takes Jim’s opinion with a grain of salt. He said there’s going to be haters and you can tear things apart. Some people love the fact that the band is brought back, some people don’t. Some people like DX, some think it sucks. You can’t please 100% of everyone and the haters get most of the attention. Eric said he doesn’t listen because people thought the same thing when he announced Nitro going head to head with Raw. He said he used to listen to it until Nitro blistered WWE’s ass. He doesn’t live his life based on opinions because a) he’s not going to change what he does because of it and b) it really doesn’t matter.

Host brings up WCW/WWE’s David and Goliath story and compares it to TNA/WWE’s situation. Eric says that’s a great question and the biggest part they can overcome is the lack of infrastructure/experience. Their biggest advantage in the lack of experience/infrastructure gives them more heart. Eric says he’s more creative more than anyone in WWE – he doesn’t care. He says more than Vince McMahon and he can take Stephanie McMahon with one arm behind his back. He says he, Jason, and TNA’s creative team is better. But they have a long way to go: corporate sponsors, infrastructure, etc – but they have the heart and fight.

Host says there’s a lot of guessing about Hulk and Eric’s roles with TNA. Eric says he can clear that up but he is not going to. He says right now it’s the most fair and honest thing to say that it’s a team effort and it’s a team effort that both Eric and Hogan are very comfortable with. Any more detail would only provide fodder for people to really create a story where one doesn’t exist. He said it’s a team effort and one they’re really proud of right now.

Host says there are thousands of people going to be listening to this interview or reading the recap. Based on the buzz TNA is receiving (Genesis/Hogan’s return to PPV), what would be Eric’s message to the talent at TNA that will be on board?

Eric said anyone that believes WWE didn’t hotshot the Bret Hart return, he can provide the fans a spot in the swamp. As far as messages go, he says the TNA talent should commit, commit 110%, embrace the fact that you’re in a business where you have to push the envelope. You need to believe who you are, your character, and lay in bed at night and think of ways to become a better performer/character/professional because that’s what it takes to really succeed in the business. Anyone that thinks that they’ve been there for 7 years and deserves more, grab a backboard and smack yourself in the head.

Eric says to Linda McMahon – good luck in her candidacy and that he hopes she wins, that he thinks Linda would be a great politician. He says he looks forward to writing a book saying he not only hugged with Vince McMahon, he made out with Linda and Stephanie McMahon. All kidding aside, he says he has respect for Linda/Vince/Stephanie – his comments to them that he knows that they know that they love competition because it’s great for the business.

Host says if it’s too early to say that we’ll see “Monday Night War” once again. Eric says he hopes so. He’s not selling them, he doesn’t know, but he really hopes. Eric believes TNA can produce a better show and that a live show head to head will create an energy. Not that he thinks but TNA has proved it. Both WWE/TNA and Spike/USA will be better off for it, the talent will benefit for it. His biggest hope would be weekly Monday head to head battle. He says it’s not his hands but he can push for it and hope that’s the case.

Hosts give Eric/Hogan/TNA staff the best of luck in 2010! Eric says he makes sure Hulk will be on the radio show.

Brian Kendrick Talks About Backstabbers & Cowards In WWE

0

In an interview with Canada’s SLAM! Sports, former WWE superstar THE Brian Kendrick Kendrick speaks out against the “backstabbers, power hungry people, suck ups, weak people” in World Wrestling Entertainment. Kendrick told SLAM! that his time on the RAW brand, his final run with the company, was miserable.

“I am a good wrestler, I did a good job. I also know that certain behavior was encouraged, some actions were frowned upon, and I didn’t care. TV sucked because you saw a circus, backstabbers, power hungry people, suck ups, weak people,” Kendrick said. “Also lots of really great, nice, funny people. But I felt like a tool sitting in the bleachers waiting in case they need my skills for something.”

Kendrick admits that his rebellious attitude and marijuana use were part of the reason he was underutilized and released from WWE. He thinks WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis acted “cowardly” by firing him over the phone.

“Is it the pot fines?’ I had a script for it, I had heated discussions with Dr. Black, I had to refuse a test to get him to call me at one point. He wouldn’t admit to that. I wanted honesty, maybe I got it, but I think more likely I am dealing with a coward. He did fire me over the phone after all.”

Kendrick also spoke about his tag team with Paul London, how fellow ROH castoff Bryan Danielson will fare in WWE and more. To read the full interview, visit Slam.canoe.ca.

Stone Cold Steve Austin Hosting WWE RAW In March

6

WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will guest host WWE RAW just two weeks before WrestleMania XXVI on March 15.

From the Upcoming Guest Hosts section of the WWE website:

Less than two weeks before WrestleMania XXVI, WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin hosts Raw on March 15. The WWE Universe should certainly mark their calendars for the legendary Rattlesnake’s return, as it is sure to turn WWE’s flagship show upside down. Though it’s uncertain what will happen when Stone Cold takes his place at the head of Raw for one night only, there’s no doubt that he’ll be looked at as one of Raw’s most controversial special guest hosts.

Things should be getting very interesting in the WWE universe with only 2 weeks until WrestleMania and it should be great seeing Steve Austin interact with one of his greatest rivals, Bret Hart, once again.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his JRsBarBQ.com blog with some commentary on Raw guest host Mike Tyson, Ludvig Borga’s death and more. Some highlights:

Mike Tyson Hosting RAW: “Mike Tyson, as we have mentioned here before grew up as a HUGE WWWF fan as a kid in Brooklyn, was a big Chief Jay Strongbow fan as best as I remember from my conversations with the one time “Baddest Man on the Planet.” Mike even told me of making his own toy wrestling ring so he could re-enact what he saw on WWWF TV. Tyson likely missed a big payday or two by not venturing into a pro wrestling ring on PPV back in the day.”

Stacey “The Kat” Carter: “Talked recently to Stacey Carter, former bride of Jerry Lawler better known as Stacey “The Kat” Carter back in the day in WWE who is now in the real estate business in the Ft. Myers, Florida area. The Mrs and I are planning on heading to that area when it warms up there and Stacey is lending us a hand with finding us a place to stay. She said that she has a reality TV show in the works with CMT that it has a chance of being picked up. It will center around Stacey, her former career in wrestling and her new career in real estate and will feature cameos from recognizable, veteran wrestling stars. I hope that she has a hit on her hands and more importantly that the show gets a chance.”

Ludvig Borga’s Death: “Too bad to hear about the untimely death of Tony Halme aka Ludvig Borga who had a brief stint in WWE many years ago. Ludvig had a great look and was a fair hand in the ring. I do remember that we had to make sure and cover up a [Nazi] “SS” tattoo that he had on his calf which was not a flattering choice of ink and was extremely politically incorrect for any generation.”

WWE RAW Results: Mike Tyson Wrestles & Re-Joins DX

0

Report by Kendra

This weeks RAW starts with music and pyro.

Justin announces this week’s guest host with all his accolades. Out to the ring comes Tyson in a baggy navy t-shirt, loose dark blue jeans and new looking work boots. In the ring he looks a little off balance. He says it’s great being back on RAW. Last time he was on RAW it was a memorable experience. Video of Tyson’s last stint on RAW. He came out and had to deal with Austin. They got into a fight and Tyson sided with DX. But at WM Tyson turned on DX and went with Austin helped him win the title. “You screwed Shawn” chants. He said, “yeah, yeah!” He said it’s nice to be here, but is cut off by Sheamus’ music. Sheamus out to the ring says he’s not sure he heard right, that Tyson was called an iconic sports figure. Tyson says it’s a matter of opinion. Sheamus called him a washed up sports figure. Sheamus says he’s the WWE Champion and that makes him the baddest man on the planet. Sheamus right in his face. Tyson moves like he’s going to punch Sheamus, Sheamus jumps back. Sheamus dares him to do it again, but he’d better make contact. They’re both interrupted by Orton who comes out. He says he’s not interesting in creating a Sports Center moment like some others might be. He’s interested in the WWE Title. Sheamus doesn’t have someone to face at the RR, so Tyson has to make Orton the number on contender, and he’d better do it soon. Cena’s music hits – of course – and he comes out in his new Wheaties gear. Orton glares, Sheamus looks slightly confused. Cena says hi as if there was nothing odd going on. Sheamus asks what Cena’s doing there. Cena says he’s there to see Tyson. He’s there because the Packers are in the playoff. The Vikings are in the playoffs and the Packers are going home! The fans go wild! He then says he’s there for the WWE Championship. Sheamus says Cena won’t get a title shot at the Rumble. Cena says he didn’t forget, then mocks Sheamus. But the last time Sheamus lost. He beat everyone here. He beat Sheamus. He beat Orton. He even beat Tyson. He talks about Tyson’s video game. Tyson smirks. So if anyone should be up for the Championship, you’re looking at him. Kofi’s music hits and out he comes. Orton wants to know why Kofi is there, he has not reason to be part of this discussion. Kofi said he’s right. But they’ve both been Champion and countless matches, he’s never had one. He’s not going to sit back there, wait for his opportunity and not say anything. “Cena sucks!” chants very loudly from a large group of men. Isn’t that right Tyson? Tyson says not to compare himself to Tyson. They all have a shot, a Triple Threat shot to face Sheamus. Cena asks if he has it straight, he’s facing Kofi and Orton? RR promo.

Video from last week’s RAW when MVP won the contendership to go after Miz’s title.

Miz, backstage with a mic. He said when he first came to wee, no one respected him. No one in the WWE Universe, no one in the WWE Locker room. No one could stand him, they made his life a living hell. He got kicked out of the locker room for eating a piece of chicken over a ref’s bag and getting some crumbs in it. For six months he was banned from the WWE locker room. He had to find a place to change, to shower, to use a restroom. He’d walk down the halls and see JBL. JBL would tease him and say he’s a gift from God. They all wanted him to quit. All that negativity he used as fuel to ignite a wrath against everyone in the WWE. To become the star he is today. He doesn’t use the locker room. He has his own private locker room because of the star he is today. That locker room is for the Evan Bourne’s and the MVP’s. the same MVP that is the number one contender for the US Championship. Miz was walking around through that all. He walks out by the stage. He says MVP has joined a long list to become publicly humiliated as him. MVP doesn’t deserve to be in the ring with him. MVP should still be in jail. He doesn’t believe in second chances because he’s been perfect his entire life. He wants to be booed. He’d rather be booed for who he is than cheered for what he isn’t. everyone watches RAW to see Miz, not MVP. MVP has all the bling, designer suits, diamond rings. You can put diamonds on a dog, but it’s still a mutt. Everyone will respect the US Champion! Because he’s the Miz, and he’s awesome! But then MVP’s music. He comes out in a beautiful suit and tie! He says everyone knows his past. He’s never denied it or run from it. He embraced it. He doesn’t want people to make the same mistakes he did. He does have an affinity for designer suits, diamond earrings and watches. He works hard for it. He worked hard to get back in society. He works hard for the respect of the WWE Universe. He worked hard to be called a superstar in this circus they call the WWE. Miz said you can put diamonds on a dog, but it’s still a mutt. Miz barks. MVP says they’re all animals in this circus, but he’s no mutt. Bear with him – he asks the fans – Miz can just stand there and suck. Off comes MVP’s jacket and tie. He unbuttons his sleeves and shirt. He removes that. As far as animals in the circus, MVP’s a big old tiger and Miz is a monkey flinging poo! Miz asks if he really is? MVP says that’s what he reminds him of. Miz wants to fling some at his lips so MVP can taste it. You think MVP is tame because he likes designer names and nice things. Miz wants to go there? He spent 9 years in Florida corrections. He lived with animals. He lived with animals Miz has only seen on TV. He dares Miz to open the cage and see how tame he is. Miz asks if MVP really wants to see the US Champion. MVP dares. Him. Miz starts to back off, then steps forward. MVP throws the mic and Miz’s chest. Miz starts to gain the upper hand in the fight, but not for long! MVP really takes Miz down and send him from the ring with a kick to the chest sending Miz through the ropes.

Video from last year’s HOF ceremony and all the wonderful men who were inducted. Vince inducted Austin who brought the place to its feet. Austin thanked everyone, and that’s the bottom line… Cole said he gets to sit next to a HOF every week, King. They go on to talk about Tyson at WM in 1998. Katie is in the ring in ref pants and black halter top. Eve comes in a dark grey shiny corset and black boy shorts. Maryse is at announce. Video of Tyson in the ring (years ago) in boxing matches. It’s been nearly five years since Tyson’s been in the ring, according to King and Cole (but it’s been much less than five years since Tyson was in the ring, so I don’t know where they’re getting their facts).

Carlito talking to Gail Kim backstage. Vince walks up and Kim moves out of his way. If she hadn’t Vince would have slammed into her. (Is this because she’s reportedly dating Bret Hart?)

Video of Orton pinning Kofi earlier with Legacy’s help. So Orton will be facing Sheamus for the WWE Title at RR.

Vince’s music and he comes strutting out to the ring. Video of Vince extending his hand to Bret, then raising his arm. But then Vince kicked Bret in the gut and left him rolling on the mat. Vince says he wants to put an end to the rumors that he’s hired extra security both in… What? “We want Bret!” chants. He wants to end the rumors that he’s hired extra security for both in and outside the arena. Bret won’t be there because he’s intimidated. Twelve years ago spit in Vince’s face, sucker punched him and walked out on his company. Twelve years ago Bret screwed Bret. Last week Vince screwed Bret. See, Bret came out and wanted to put bygones behind him and find closure. Bret, Vince doesn’t play nice. He doesn’t forgive and doesn’t forget. “Boring!” chants. Bret wanted closure? He was left lying on the mat, humbled and humiliated by Vince. He won’t be here because Bret will never be seen in the WWE again. Vince’s music then plays as Vince smirks. Vince leaves the ring and walks down the stairs. He heads up the ramp.

Tyson out in dark sweats, t-shirt and what now in what looks like dress shoes, but could be ring boots.

Tyson and HBK start off. They lock up and HBK is sent flying. They lock up again and HBK is sent into the ropes. They lock up and HBK is sent flying. HBK stops and talks to HHH. HBK rushes Tyson and eats a shoulder knock down. HHH tags in and slowly walks up to Tyson. They lock up and they battle around. HHH backed into a corner. Clean break but then HHH shoved Tyson and he slams into HHH hard. They lock up and end up in the heel corner. Jericho takes a tag. Back and forth between them. High knee from HHH and tags out. Inverted atomic drop and HBK tries for a flip but Jericho takes it to roll HBK up for two. Jericho tries for the wall but HBK sends Jericho flying and Jericho slams into HHH sending him flying from the apron. HBK grabs the back of Jericho’s tights, baring his white ass crack for all to see and rolling Jericho up for two. Enziguri to HBK. Jericho tags out. Tyson over HBK talking smack and Hornswoggle’s music hits. He comes out in boxing shorts, a robe and boxing gloves. Tyson laughed as he tagged Jericho in. All in the ring. HHH and HBK flank Hornswoggle. Jericho walking up to face them with Tyson behind them. Tyson removes his one t-shirt to reveal a second underneath. He’s wearing a DX t-shirt (shocker). The fans are wild. Jericho looks worried. He turns to see Tyson’s shirt. Tyson knocks Jericho out in one punch in what Cole calls ‘vintage Tyson’. HBK pins Jericho for three.

– Winners: DX

All four in the ring with DX crotch chops. Cole asks if it was a setup all along. Then Cole said you could feel it in the air all night. They all celebrate in the ring around Jericho’s prone body. Video of Tyson knocking out Jericho and Cole again says it’s ‘vintage Mike Tyson’. Jericho hasn’t moved at all yet. HHH grabs a kid over his shoulder from behind announce. WWE RAW Results: Mike Tyson Wrestles & Re-Joins DX

Cena gets a look on his face and goes over to put an arm around Kofi. He says, “Pay no attention, he usually doesn’t anyway.” Kofi says he’s out there because he wants a shot. “Randy, Randy!” chants. Kofi says he won’t take no for an answer. Sheamus says there’s an easy way to solve this. When Tyson was Champion there were months between defenses. Since Sheamus’ a much better Champion than Tyson ever was, since he successfully defended two weeks ago, he wants the Rumble off. As for those three, go to the RR and earn it like everyone else. Isn’t that right Tyson? Tyson says not to compare himself to Tyson. They all have a shot, a Triple Threat shot to face Sheamus. Cena asks if he has it straight, he’s facing Kofi and Orton? The winner faces Sheamus? He likes those odds! (He called Orton, Kofi and Sheamus names, but I missed them – sorry!)

Trouble in paradise on Cena, but Cena’s knocked from the ring. Kofi mounts Orton and lands punches in a corner. But suddenly Cody’s there and kicks the ring stairs into Cena’s head! Cody up on the apron yelling at the ref, distracting him. Ted in the other side. Ted nails Kofi on his way through and out the other side. Orton taunts Kofi. Orton easily hits his RKO. Orton pins Kofi for three.

– Winner: Orton

Sheamus glares down at Orton. All of Legacy stares back up at Sheamus. Sheamus raises his belt high in the air. Video of Cody kicking the steps then Ted taking out Kofi. Orton hit his RKO and it was over. Legacy is still staring up the ramp, Sheamus still has his strap held high. Much glaring.

Josh backstage talking about Tyson tagging with Jericho against DX. Josh asks Tyson what he plans on doing to HHH and HBK tonight in the ring? Then Hornswoggle is there in DX gear and his military helmet with the DX headband around it. He’s throwing punches and crotch chops. Tyson gets down on a knee, talks very softly as if to a child and says that if he sees Hornswoggle during the match, he’ll pull out his intestines and play jump rope with them. That’s not all. He’ll take his two fingers, stick his fingers up Hornswoggle’s nose and pull his brains out. He’ll put it in a newspaper and smash it against a wall. So enjoy himself and hope Tyson doesn’t see him tonight, alright? Hornswoggle nods and looks freaked out holding his nose.

Tyson knocked HBK out and left him on the mat when he raised Austin’s arm. They then went on to talk about possible retribution for what happened between Vince and Bret last week.

Video for Tyson’s documentary that’s available on DVD.

Katie is in the ring in ref pants and black halter top. Eve comes in a dark grey shiny corset and black boy shorts. Maryse is at announce. She calls Cole a ‘vintage nerd’ and that he can’t pronounce her name right. Katie takes Eve down and then pulls her arms back with a knee to the center of her back. Eve rolls through and out. Forearms to Katie, but back breaker to Eve for two. Maryse says Miz is not her type. Eve into a corner but ducks out. Eve takes Katie down for two. Kick to Katie’s face when she bends down. Another kick drops Katie then a dropkick to Katie. Katie comes back by getting her knees up when Eve flips to land on her. Katie covers for two. Eve is able to take Katie down and roll Katie up for three.

– Winner: Eve

Eve out of the ring in celebration. Eve turns to look at Maryse but barely gives her the time of day. Maryse is all worked up as she faces Eve in the next round.

Tyson throwing punches at pads on Jericho’s hands.

Don Johnson and Jon Heder will be guest hosting next week!

DX out to the ring with their glow sticks. Crotch chops to in ring pyro. HBK grabs a mic and gives it to HHH. HHH asks, “Are you ready?” HHH goes on with schpeal and then asks HBK if he’s ready. HBK says he’s ready. He’s ready for Taker. He says he wants an answer from Taker next week. HHH says if you’re not down with that, we have two words for ya… Jericho out to the ring.

Over the barrier and Tyson’s son is in the ring with them. All five, Tyson in the middle with his son on his left, Hornswoggle on his right, crotch chop to the in ring pyro. Again video of Tyson punching out Jericho.

TNA Changing The 6-Sided Ring, Generation Me & More

0

– TNA drew a sellout crowd of 2,500 fans at the live event Friday night in Westbury, NY, making it TNA’s most successful live event in a long time. The main event saw AJ Styles defeat Kurt Angle with Jeff Jarrett as the special referee. A few live reports we’ve read indicate that the in-ring action was alright but TNA held a “meet the wrestlers” autograph session after the show that sent everybody home happy.

– Recently signed TNA tag team the Young Bucks will debut on Thursday’s iMPACT! under the new team name “Generation Me.” For those wondering, the phrase actually describes anyone born in the 1970’s, 1980’s or 1990’s (anyone between the ages of 10 and 40.)

– There has been a lot of talk within TNA lately about the six-sided ring. Various angles have been pitched as ways to get rid of the ring and bring in a traditional four-sided ring, including literally destroying the 6-sided ring during an episode of iMPACT! to explain the change.
