WWE Had Long Production Meeting At Raw, Vince McMahon Left Before Show Started

0

WWE had a long production meeting before Monday’s episode of Raw from the KFC Yum Center in Louisville.

Pwinsider.com reported the news and noted that while Vince McMahon was said to be present for the meeting in the afternoon, he left before the show went live on the USA Network. It’s unclear why he didn’t stick around nor what the meeting was about.

Bruce Prichard also wasn’t backstage at Raw. Typically, if McMahon isn’t there then Prichard or Triple H will run the show. Triple H is still recovering from having heart surgery. As a result, John Laurinaitis ran things backstage.

The report added that there were no NXT wrestlers backstage at the show.

Fans may have picked up on the unusual format for the show and the meeting may have had something to do with that as it seemed the company was stretching for time to fill with longer matches and segments. Case in point was the main event, which started about 30 minutes before the show went off the air.

On Raw, there were two heel turns – Doudop is now a villain as she started a program with Bianca Belair while Kevin Owens turned on WWE Champion Big E at the end of the show.

Eddie Kingston Explains Why He Doesn’t Get Along With Chris Hero

0

Eddie Kingston and Chris Hero have been beloved by wrestling fans but the two just can’t get along.

For years, Kingston fought for every inch of turf he could get in the wrestling industry. It has finally paid off with his AEW run. Chris Hero is someone fans rooted for during his time on the indies and Ring of Honor. Ultimately, his two NXT runs didn’t pan out the way he hoped.

Eddie Kingston Details Chris Hero Beef

Eddie Kingston spoke to GiveMeSport’s Louis Dangoor and he shared why he and Chris Hero don’t see eye-to-eye.

“They know that I’m going to go out there and be a pro and they know that I’m not going to go out there and go into business for myself and hurt them or bury them. They know I’m not going to do that. Whatever I say in that moment is reality, but after, I don’t care. I’ve known a lot of these guys (in AEW) for over 10 years. They know how I am and they know I’m not going to do anything to hurt anybody. Everything I do is for the company. Have I had people on the Independents (be mad), yeah. Chris Hero, me and him don’t like each other, there were a lot of things said by both of us where we were giving each other shots. We were letting each other say things and went, ‘I’ll remember that when we’re in the ring.'”

Earlier this year, Kingston admitted to Wrestling Observer Radio that Chris Hero did help train him early in his career. Somewhere along the line things went south.

Kingston is preparing for a showdown with CM Punk at Full Gear on Nov. 13. Ahead of the match, Kingston penned a piece on the Player’s Tribune, detailing his struggles with mental health.

Juice Robinson Speaks On NJPW Contract Status

0

Juice Robinson has addressed the report that his New Japan Pro Wrestling contract is expiring soon.

Fightful was the first to bring word that Juice’s contract will be up in early 2022. There are certainly options for Juice, who has been seen on Impact Wrestling as part of a business relationship with NJPW. It definitely seems that Juice is at least willing to test the market.

Juice Robinson Talks Future

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Juice Robinson confirmed the report and spoke on what the future might hold.

“I’ll be a free agent [in] February. It’s a great time in wrestling to show up anywhere, and maybe it’s the right time for me to spread my wings and fly.”

Few can deny that Juice has reached his greatest career success under the NJPW banner. He requested his release from WWE, where he performed as CJ Parker on the NXT brand back in 2015. Juice quickly shot up the ranks in NJPW and became a two-time IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.

Juice has also had tag team success. He’s a former IWGP Tag Team Champion and a former Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champion along with David Finlay.

On Nov. 13, Juice will be taking on Impact World Heavyweight Champion Moose. The match will be featured on the NJPW Battle In The Valley card.

SEScoops will keep you posted on the latest information regarding Juice Robinson’s future with NJPW. Keep it locked on our homepage in the coming months as things unfold.

Tommaso Ciampa Shares Rick Steiner was Set to Appear on NXT 2.0

0

NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa revealed that professional wrestling legend Rick Steiner was going to appear at Halloween Havoc on October 26th. Steiner is the father of Bron Breaker, whose real name is Bronson Rechsteiner.

TalkSport’s Alex McCarthy interviewed Ciampa about his current status in NXT 2.0. McCarthy asked about working with Bron Breaker. Ciampa replied to McCarthy that his father wanted to appear at the event. However, Steiner pulled out of the event at the last minute. He successfully defended the NXT Championship against Bron Breaker at Halloween Havoc.

McCarthy transcribed the following quote.

“So, he was meant to be at Halloween Havoc,” Ciampa started. “He pulled out last minute. Maybe because I retained, but I won’t say that’s why [laughs]. I would love to be friends with him.” However, Steiner hasn’t confirmed that he was going to be at Halloween Havoc.

Tommaso Ciampa Second Reign as NXT Champion

Ciampa became the two-time NXT Champion when he won the fatal four-way championship match on September 14th. NXT 2.0 immediately put him in a feud with Breaker afterward. While he lost at Halloween Havoc, Breaker teased in last week’s NXT 2.0 episode that the rivalry wasn’t over.

New Contenders for the NXT Champion

NXT 2.0 has introduced new contenders to go against Ciampa. Along with Breaker, Carmelo Hayes also teased a feud with the NXT Champion. Longtime rival Johnny Gargano on the same episode also indicated a match with Ciampa may be near. However, Ciampa already has his eyes on another new potential contender. In the interview, McCarthy asked Ciampa what new NXT talent he wanted to work with next. Ciampa responded by saying Solo Sikoa.

“If I could pick anybody, it would be the third Uso, Solo Sikoa. I like his catchphrase, Street King of the Island. That vignette said star to me, said Ciampa. He continued, “When I watch him come out and the way he carries himself, he looks like a star. I think if I can work with him, I can pull a greatness out of him that would turn a lot of heads. It would be amazing.”

It’s unclear whom Ciampa will defend his championship against next. Although it seems he is ready to take on all challengers.

Trish Stratus Admits Sasha Banks Match Is Appealing To Her

0

WWE legend Trish Stratus says that Sasha Banks could prove to be a fun adversary.

Stratus has shown that she’s willing to mix it up in the ring to help the current generation of female wrestlers. She put Charlotte over at Summerslam back in 2019. Sasha Banks has been calling for a match with Trish and she might just get her wish.

Trish Stratus Likes Potential Sasha Banks Match

During an appearance on VIBE 105 Sports, Trish Stratus expressed interest in sharing the ring with Sasha Banks.

“If you’re talking about the dream match that everyone talks about with Sasha Banks? Maybe you might be referring to that match?” Trish asked. “Or you might not be, maybe that’s what I’m referring to. She is an amazing athlete. People sort of — they fantasize about that match because we had a little face-to-face at the women’s Royal Rumble.  And who knows? That is appealing to me. I think she is a fantastic athlete. She has brought so much to the company, and has elevated the women in the industry from what she’s done.

“I think fans would love to see that. I would love to whoop her butt and prove that I’m the best, and, you know, stuff like that,” she continued. “So yeah, let’s leave it with that little button and say, ‘Perhaps, one day, if I decide to go back in the ring, I mean, I may have to deliver a little Stratusfaction to The Boss.”

Stratus has also been teasing a match with Sasha. The two had a memorable staredown and an exchange during the 2018 Royal Rumble match. Time will tell if WWE follows through on a singles match between the two.

Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) horror movie to begin filming this month

0

Former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) is gearing up for his feature film debut.

Special makeup effects artist Jason Baker spoke to Alistair McGeorge of Metro.co.uk this week and provided the first details about this project.

“He’s a phenomenal collaborator, he’s become a really good friend, and we’re actually – you’re the first person that we’re publicly telling about. We’re starting a film at the end of the month.”

Baker worked closely with Windham Rotunda on his infamous WWE character, The Fiend. The two were spotted in Los Angeles just a few weeks ago.

Windham Rotunda’s Horror Debut

The Fiend
Nightmare fuel from Windham Rotunda

The untitled horror film will begin filming later this month in Tennessee.

“It’s a feature film and it’s something really new and different,” said Baker. “I’d say probably the best way to describe it is Ichi the Killer meets Xanadu.”

Windham Rotunda knows a thing or two about horror. Bray Wyatt, The Fiend and the Firefly Funhouse were dark characters that had a lot more backstory to dig into. WWE owns all that intellectual property, so wrestling fans should not expect this horror film to have anything to do with the Bray Wyatt character.

“We’re not using any of that – we’re going in a completely different direction, a whole new thing. It should be fun. Hopefully fans of horror and fans of Windham like it!”

Kurt Angle Shares Wrestlers’ Court Story Involving WWE Writer

0

Kurt Angle has revealed a wrestlers’ court story involving perhaps the most highly-praised writer to ever work for WWE.

Angle and ex-WWE writer Brian Gewirtz always had solid chemistry. Angle has gone as far as to say that Gewirtz is one of the smartest minds to enter the business. Today, Gewirtz works closely with The Rock, who has become a Hollywood megastar.

Kurt Angle Recalls Wrestlers’ Court Story

Taking fan questions on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist revealed why Gewirtz was once sent to the dreaded wrestlers’ court.

“I remember there was one case if you wanna call it that [laughs]. It was the writer Brian Gewirtz. He was accused from the prosecuting attorney, Bradshaw, John Bradshaw Layfield, he was accused of favoring certain talent to write for them. That talent being me, Jericho, The Rock, and Edge & Christian. The judge was Undertaker and Brian had to go to court and facing Bradshaw you’re not gonna win [laughs]. So, Brian had to defend himself and Bradshaw was the prosecuting attorney.

“What happened was a lot of the wrestlers got to speak their minds about Brian not writing for them. But listen, Brian was told who to write for. It’s not like he got to pick and choose but he did find chemistry with certain people. When he did that, he would put a little more time and effort into those people that he had chemistry with. So, I understand Brian but I also understand the boys being upset cause Brian did write specifically for The Rock, me, Jericho, and Edge & Christian, I think Hurricane Helms.”

Ultimately, Brian’s punishment wasn’t too bad.

“The end of the court, the end of the hearing Brian had to buy five cases of beer for the wrestlers. So, at least they didn’t do anything physical to him. They only made him buy beer [laughs].”

Angle has said on his podcast that the reason he appreciated Gewirtz is that he was always a wrestling fan. Angle believes that all WWE writers should be fans of the business before being hired.

Drew McIntyre Feels Nobody is Close to Roman Reigns in Pro Wrestling

0

WWE superstar Drew McIntyre believes that Roman Reigns is the best wrestler in professional wrestling today. While he wants to challenge Reigns, McIntyre also feels that now isn’t the time.

In an interview with Sky Sports’ Anton Toloui, McIntyre discussed the possibility of working with Reigns soon. McIntyre feels WWE fans want to see him and Reigns in a feud. He also thinks Reigns is the number one wrestler in the industry.

“He’s on fire. There’s nobody close to him in the entire wrestling industry, said McIntyre. He continued “…That’s why everyone keeps saying to me It’s Drew and Roman that’s obviously what’s going to happen. I’m sure it’s inevitably going to happen, but I don’t want it to happen right now.” He explained that he wants to continue to win matches and build up to an eventual feud with Reigns.

Drew McIntrye Move to Smackdown

McIntyre made his return to Smackdown after the WWE Draft on October 1st. He made his WWE debut on Smackdown in 2007. However, his first stint was unsuccessful, which resulted in WWE releasing McIntyre in 2014. Since his return to WWE in 2017, he has only competed on NXT and Raw.

DAZN’s Steven Muehlhausen interviewed McIntyre before the draft and asked if he believes his return to Smackdown brings his career full circle. McIntyre agreed and said, “I really do think that’d be the case. I’m very proud of everything I was able to do on Raw especially being champion at the height of the pandemic and leading the charge but at the same time working hard for everyone else to make sure everybody was entertained during those difficult times and be a leader, said McIntyre. He continued, “But if I did end up on Smackdown for me personally, there is unfinished business, so that could be very interesting.”

He is not involved with a feud right now. However, McIntyre will represent smackdown in the elimination tag team match at Survivor Series 2021. While it seems WWE fans will wait to see McIntyre in a feud with Reigns, he feels the wait will be worth it.

Eddie Kingston Talks His Struggles With Depression

0

Eddie Kingston noted that he takes the anti-depressant Zoloft during a recent promo with Bryan Danielson. He has now written an article for the Player’s Tribune about his struggles with depression.

“The only thing that kept me from getting depressed was wrestling,” Kingston wrote about his mental health as a teenager. “I either had to be fighting in the neighborhood, or sitting at home watching a match. Otherwise, I’d fall into a depression.”

“When I couldn’t control it, I’d end up throwing hands with dudes in the middle of class,” he continued.

Kingston also wrote about drinking heavily while working as an independent wrestler.

“So I drank. Christ, did I drink. I became a bouncer just so I could drink more. On the weekends I’d start drinking at 1 p.m,” Kingston wrote.

“I was sick, I hated myself. I would sit at home drinking whiskey, watching guys who I’d come up with in the indies wrestling on national TV in the big promotions, and I’d just sit and stew until I blew up. I’d punch holes in the walls. I’d smash bottles. I was a danger to myself and others.”

Eddie Kingston vs CM Punk Booked For AEW Full Gear.

Eddie Kingston and CM Punk came face-to-face on this Friday’s edition of AEW Rampage. A match between the two was then made official for Full Gear this weekend. The storyline revolves around Kingston being bitter towards Punk for him being judgemental of him during their days in Ring of Honor. Meanwhile, Punk is upset with Kingston for interrupting his promo the week before.

Raymond Rougeau Wins Mayoral Election In Quebec

0

Another former WWE Superstar has won a political election. Raymond Rougeau is the new Mayor of Rawdon, Quebec, Canada after winning the town’s recent election. He had been on the town’s city council since 2002. Rougeau was elected after gaining 61% of the vote. Rougeau had been released from WWE earlier this year where he had been working as a French-language commentator since 2017.

“I am so proud of the work done by my entire team of counselors and all the volunteers. Even today, I had 24 operators to call out the vote. I was the driving force behind the entire campaign, I had a game plan and I’m proud that I never deviated from my plan. There was disinformation during the campaign and I saw it while going door to door. The things I could hear … even I wouldn’t have voted for myself! So we had to work very hard, my team and I, on the pitch, to correct the situation. But I am proud to say that we have had a clean and positive campaign,” Rougeau said to TVA Sports (Run through Google Translate).

Earlier this year, the WWE Network’s move to Peacock resulted in Rougeau and Jean Brassard losing their job with WWE. Brassard commented on this in a social media post.

Riddle details conversation with Goldberg on flight back from Saudi Arabia

0

One-half of Team RK-Bro, Matt Riddle has a long and complicated history with Bill Goldberg. Riddle has made disparaging comments about Goldberg publicly in the past but according to comments he made recently to Talk Sport, the two have patched things up and come to some type of understanding.

“Bill and I had a conversation. It was like ‘Bill, I’m sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way’ on the way back from Saudi Arabia,” Riddle said. “We were on the plane, had a couple of cocktails. I’m not saying we’re best friends, but we are doing way better than we were.”

“I think just us talking and seeing him work [longer matches this year], you just get to know somebody and understand them.”

“He’s like me; if you just listen to the dirt sheets or watch me do interviews, you might hate me [laughs]. But in real life, I’m a pretty nice guy. I talk crap, but that’s just to drum up interest. He realises that – I think we’re all good.”

Riddle Still Wants A Match With Goldberg

Riddle recently appeared on the Cheap Heat podcast as well. During the conversation, he noted that he’s hopeful a match between him and Goldberg takes place sometime next year.

“I think we can get that match,” Riddle said on the show. “I think we pull that one out. No promises but I’m hoping by 2022, we get Riddle vs. Goldberg. It will sell tickets.”

Riddle signed with WWE in the summer of 2018 and has steadily moved up since then. He’d move to the main roster in the summer of 2020. During his time in WWE, Riddle has won the NXT Tag Team Championships along with Pete Dunne, the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Classic (also along with Pete Dunne), the United States Championship, and he is currently a co-holder of the RAW tag team championships along with Randy Orton.

0

AEW star Brian Cage is the new champion of the recently rebooted XPW promotion.

An episode of Dark Side of the Ring this season focussed on Rob Black’s XPW promotion from the early 2000s. Perhaps in response to the renewed interest in his promotion, Black announced XPW would be returning.

They had their first show back this weekend from the Main Street Armory in Rochester, New York. A replay of the show is available on FITE here.

The show featured a tournament to determine a new XPW Champion. The company issued the following statement congratulating Brian Cage on his win:

“XPW would like to congratulate Brian Cage as the New XPW World Champion. Showing everyone what a real champion looks like. It takes a special type of person to be the Face of a wrestling company. Willie Mack was a great competitor but in the end he came up short.”

Tammy Sytch Released From Hospital

0

Tammy Sytch (aka Sunny) has been released from hospital after a 10-day stay. She has not revealed the reason why she was under medical care, however.

The WWE Hall of Famer took to her Facebook account to update fans on her situation.

“Hey everyone. Just wanted to update you all on why I haven’t been online,” Sytch wrote on November 5th. “I’ve been in the hospital since last Saturday, sick since a few days before that. I thought I would have been discharged by now, but things keep coming up that need testing and I may be having a procedure. I’ll probably be here for a few days more, while they try and diagnose every issue. Please respect my privacy at this time… and I appreciate your support.

These details will be kept private, but they are long-time nagging issues that need to be dealt with and fixed so I can stop coming back in pain every 18 months or so. Thank you again… I’ll update you on my progress once I know more.”

Then on Sunday, Sytch complained about the treatment she was receiving at the hospital.

“Thanks to this wonderful hospital that won’t do the surgery I need to finally be pain free, carb loads me bc they have me on a cardiac diet instead a low-carb diet (I’m diabetic), and then overdosed me on insulin to compensate for all the carbs and sugars they are feeding me and CRASHES my sugars to the point where I’m almost passing out. GREAT JOB BAYSHORE!!! You need to hire new surgeons and endocrinologists who know what they’re doing,” she wrote.

Yesterday, Sytch revealed that she has finally been discharged after a 10-day stay in the hospital.

“After 10 long horrible days on the hospital, I’m finally back home, in my happy place,” wrote Sytch.

Her Facebook posts are below:

Tammy Sytch In Wrestling

The 48-year-old Sytch was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in their Class of 2011. As Sunny, she has been referred to as the first “Diva” in WWE. Sytch played an important role for WWE in the 90s and was a prominent part of Monday Night Raw during the Attitude Era. Sunny is a 2x Slammy Award winner as well. She won the award for “Best Buns” and “Minds Behind the Mayhem” in 1996.

Tammy Sytch was released from prison this June after a roughly 1-year stay. She wrote a statement on her Facebook page upon her release.

“To my fans and the pro wrestling community:

I am happy to be finished with my sentence and I am anxious to start the next chapter of my life. I am healthy and happy and feel great.”

WWE RAW Results (11/8): Becky Lynch & Liv Morgan, Kevin Owens Snaps, Lashley Returns

0

WWE RAW aired live from the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Kevin Owens battled Seth Rollins in tonight’s main event. In addition to the takeaways below, the 24/7 Championship changed hands multiple times tonight but ultimately Reggie got it back.

RAW Results (11/8)

  1. Robert Roode, Dolph Ziggler, AJ Styles, Omos def. Street Profits, Randy Orton, Riddle
  2. Lashley def. Dominik & will replace him on Team RAW for Survivor Series
  3. Big E def. Chad Gable
  4. Liv Morgan def. Carmella, Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, Rhea Ripley to become the #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship
  5. Seth Rollins def. Kevin Owens via count out

Here are the takeaways from this week’s show:

Rollins Played Mind Games With Kevin Owens

Big E and Kevin Owens had a conversation backstage to kick off the show. Owens once again claimed that he did not see Seth Rollins interfere in their match last week. Kevin asked if Big E believed him and Big E said “I have a match tonight, and I don’t care” before walking away. Owens said “well I do” to end the segment.

Seth Rollins made his way to the ring with his title match contract. Rollins will battle Kevin Owens in a singles match later on the show. The crowd booed as Seth welcomed everyone to “Monday Night Rollins”. Seth claimed that he was going to be the next WWE Champion as the crowd chanted “you look stupid!” at Seth’s absurd outfit.

Rollins joked that the morons here in Louisville don’t know anything about fashion and turned his attention to Kevin Owens. Rollins asked “who exactly is Kevin Owens?” and wondered if he was a man who will put his body on the line for the WWE Universe or is he a snake, a gutless spineless coward, and a liar.

Seth noted that he has known Owens for a long time and you can always count on him stabbing you in the back any chance he got. He brought up how Owens screwed over Sami Zayn and the New Day in the past. Rollins vowed to beat him in the center of the ring in the main event, and make him not only the biggest liar in the world, but the biggest loser.

Owens interrupted and marched down to the ring. Kevin chased Rollins around and caught him by the announce table. Owens went for a Powerbomb on the ring apron but Seth grabbed the ropes. Rollins scampered away as Owens shouted that he was a coward.

Roode, Ziggler, Styles, Omos Picked Up A Win

Street Profits & RAW Tag Team Champions Randy Orton & Riddle faced Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler, AJ Styles & Omos in an 8-man tag match. Roode and Montez Ford started off the action. Ford connected with a Dropkick and brought Roode to the corner. Dawkins tagged in and continued to beat Roode down.

Roode batted back and tagged in Ziggler. Dolph connected with a Clothesline but Dawkins shrugged it off. Dawkins tagged in Orton and he stomped on Dolph’s midsection a few times. Orton stomped on both of Dolph’s ankles and then tagged in Riddle.

Riddle used Orton’s hands as a springboard and flipped onto Ziggler for a two count. Dolph got pissed off and decked Riddle with a Dropkick to the face. AJ Styles tagged in and Riddle caught him with a kick to the face. Styles chopped Riddle in the neck and went for the Styles Clash but Riddle countered into a Triangle in the center of the ring. AJ tried to counter into a Powerbomb but both superstars wound up tumbling over the top rope and to the floor outside the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Roode was in control and planted Riddle with a slam for a near fall. Roode followed it up with a Suplex and tagged in Ziggler. Dolph dropped an elbow across Riddle’s chest for a two count and quickly applied a Headlock in the middle of the ring. Street Profits and Orton fired up the crowd as Riddle began his comeback. Ziggler put a halt to it and dragged Riddle back to the corner.

Styles tagged in and got Riddle back in a Headlock. AJ bounced Riddle’s face off the turnbuckle and started arguing with Ziggler and Roode in the corner. Roode tagged in and continued to beat Riddle down. Roode took a break to do some push ups before tagging in Ziggler.

Riddle finally connected with a boot to Ziggler’s face and both superstars fell to the floor. The crowd popped as Orton got the tag and Randy unloaded some Clotheslines to Ziggler. Orton planted Dolph with a Powerslam and then delivered another one to Roode as he rushed into the ring.

The Viper planted Ziggler with the draping DDT and posed for the crowd. Orton geared up for the RKO but Roode broke it up. Orton launched Roode into Omos and knocked him off the apron. Orton dodged the Phenomenal Forearm and threw AJ out of the ring but Omos caught him as RAW went to a commercial break.

Montez Ford was now isolated in the corner when RAW returned with Roode beating him down. Ziggler tagged in and continued the beat down. Ford connected with an Enziguri and both superstars fell to the mat. Angelo Dawkins tagged in and hit Roode with an elbow to the face. Dawkins hit a Fallaway Slam and then followed it up with a Splash on Roode.

Dawkins planted Styles with a Neckbreaker and then Omos entered the ring. Omos planted Dawkins with a Chokeslam and then launched Ford to the outside. Riddle tagged himself in as Orton freaked out about him getting into the ring with Omos. Riddle hit a knee strike but Omos planted him with the Chokeslam Bomb. Orton went to get into the ring but Roode & Ziggler dragged him to the outside.

Omos was about to tag in Styles but Ziggler tagged himself in. AJ and Dolph started arguing and Roode shoved Styles off the apron. Omos hurled Roode into the barricade as Ziggler went for the cover. Riddle was down for an eternity but still didn’t kick out. Orton hit Ziggler with the RKO after the match.

Lashley Will Replace Dominik On Team RAW

Rey Mysterio and Dominik made their way down the entrance ramp with Adam Pearce waiting in the ring. Pearce spoke about Survivor Series for a bit and how the superstars from each brand will be competing against each other. Pearce noted that Team RAW swept Team SmackDown 5-0 last year at Survivor Series. Adam said that every member of Team RAW is a former WWE Champion except for Dominik. Pearce told Dominik that he wants Team RAW to win at the PPV. Adam said that Dominik is still on the team unless he loses his match against this man. Peace exited the ring and made his way backstage.

Bobby Lashley then made his entrance with MVP back by his side. Rey Mysterio was ringside for the match. Dominik got a Headlock applied but Lashley escaped with ease and hit a shoulder tackle. Lashley taunted Rey and went for a Suplex but Dominik broke free. Dominik climbed to the top rope and went for a Crossbody but Lashley caught him. Dominik escaped again and sent Lashley to the outside. Dominik went for another Crossbody but Lashley caught him again.

Lashley bashed Dominik’s face into the ring post as Adam Pierce was shown backstage watching on. Back in the ring, Lashley got Dominik in the Hurt Lock but let him go. Lashley threw Dominik out of the ring and went to bash him into the ring post again. Rey broke it up and Lashley booted Rey in the face. Lashley then bashed Dominik into the ring post and posed over Rey before the action returned to the ring. Lashley hit a Spear but didn’t go for the cover. Bobby posed for the booing crowd before applying the Hurt Lock again for the submission victory.

Later on RAW, Rey Mysterio was interviewed backstage and said that this was a bunch of bullsh*t and blamed Adam Pearce for putting Dominik in the match. Austin Theory snuck up behind the Mysterios and took a selfie.

Big E def. Chad Gable

Big E faced Chad Gable tonight on RAW. Otis was ringside for the match. Big E and Gable locked up to start off the match. Kevin Owens Snapped & Attacked Big E

Rollins approached Big E backstage and told him that he is honest about who he is, unlike Kevin Owens. Rollins stated that it is better to trust the devil you know and Big E said he doesn’t trust either of them. Big E added that Rollins better bet his “sweet cheeks” that he will be ringside and they both laughed before Seth walked away.

Seth Rollins faced Kevin Owens in tonight’s main event. WWE Champion Big E was next to the announce table for the match. Owens and Rollins traded punches to begin the action. Owens unloaded some chops and Seth got out of the ring to regroup. Kevin chased him around and Rollins stomped on Owens as he got back into the ring. Owens hit an elbow to the face and then threw Rollins into the turnbuckle.

Owens headbutted Rollins to the mat and set up for a Cannonball but Seth rolled out of the ring again. Owens once again chased him and caught him outside the ring. Owens threw Rollins into the barricade and followed it up with a Clothesline. Owens then hit a Senton and a Cannonball against the barricade. Rollins rolled to the apron and Owens followed him again. KO went for a Powerbomb but Rollins blocked it. Owens threw Rollins off the ring apron and he crashed onto the announce table and to the floor. Owens went for a Senton off the ring apron but Rollins got his knees up. Seth then bashed Owens into the announce table as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Rollins was in control and the action had returned to the ring. Owens broke free and connected with a slam. Owens made his way to the top rope and hit a Frog Splash but Rollins kicked out at two. Big E was shown watching on next to the announce table as RAW went to a final commercial break.

Rollins and Owens were battling on the turnbuckle when RAW resumed. Seth set up for a Superplex but Owens blocked it and unloaded some strikes until Rollins fell to the canvas. Seth hopped right back up and went for a Superplex but Owens countered into one of his own. Rollins battled back and hit the Pedigree but Owens kicked out at two.

Seth climbed to the top rope but Owens tripped him up. Owens hit a Buckle Bomb and went for the Stomp but Owens countered into a Pop-Up Powerbomb for a near fall in a great sequence. Kevin went for the Stunner but Rollins blocked it and hit a forearm to the back of the head. Owens fell to the ring apron and then rolled to the outside. Seth followed him out there and leaped onto Owens. Rollins made it back into the ring at the count of 9 and Owens was counted out.

Big E inadvertently got in Owens’ way as he was trying to get back in the ring. Owens booted Big E in the face and slammed him into the steel steps a couple times. Kevin continued to beat Big E down outside the ring until WWE officials broke it up to end the show.

WWE Survivor Series Updated Card: Two Big Matches Set, Bobby Lashley Replaces Raw Star

0

During Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, the company announced two big matches and made a change to a traditional elimination tag team match for the upcoming Survivor Series PPV.

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and WWE Champion Big E vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a champion vs. champion bouts were confirmed.  Also, Bobby Lashley has replaced Dominik Mysterio on Team Raw.

Regarding Lashley, WWE had Adam Pearce point out to Rey and Dominik Mysterio that Team Raw at Survivor Series consists of all former WWE Champions besides Dominik so if the son of the future WWE Hall of Famer could beat Lashley then he would keep his spot. That didn’t happen as Lashley beat him in a one-sided match with the returning MVP at ringside.

Lashley is now joining Raw’s men’s Survivor Series team alongside Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor and Rey Mysterio.

As for Lynch vs. Flair, this comes just a few weeks ago when Flair and Lynch confronted one another following the title exchange segment on SmackDown that reportedly led to Flair being escorted out of the arena to prevent any further issues. Flair went to management regarding the segment and tried to convince them that it would make her title reign look weak.

Jay White Denies Rumors About Being Approached By AEW

0

Jay White claims the rumor of him being in contact with AEW isn’t true.

White has emerged as a major star for NJPW. In a short period of time, White went from Young Lion to IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion. Jay eventually captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and became an IWGP Intercontinental Champion.

Jay White Slams AEW Rumor

Earlier this year, there were rumors about AEW being interested in signing White. Tony Schiavone poured cold water on the rumor, noting that Jay still had contractual obligations with NJPW. During an interview with Fightful Select, Jay White took a final dagger to the rumor.

“I was never or have never been approached in regards to AEW. Especially when they were starting up. I don’t know where that rumor came from. It’s just like everything else to do with wrestling in regards to wrestling, people just like to push sh*t out there as if it’s true and everyone just eats it up. No, I was never approached in regards to AEW. I don’t know where that came from.

“It just hurts my brain. The only part of that where there was any truth is the very first part of it, talking about the start of this year and about a certain company. Anything after that, none of that is true. It’s completely false. People, I’m sure, they’re probably going to respond and say, ‘Oh, he’s just saying that because he’s not into telling the truth.’ But I’m doing you a favor and telling you the truth here—them approaching me and some contract I was on, both things 100% false.”

White is the current NEVER Openweight Champion. He has taken advantage of cross-promotion as he’s appeared on Impact Wrestling. He’s scheduled to put his title on the line against Tomohiro Ishii at NJPW Battle in the Valley on Nov. 13.

It’s possible that Jay can eventually show up in AEW even if he’s still under contract with NJPW. Since those rumors first surfaced, AEW and NJPW have become chummy when it comes to doing business with one another.

Riddle Thinks He’s Been Hated On More Since Teaming With Randy Orton

0

Riddle believes he’s garnered more haters since aligning with Randy Orton.

Riddle is one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions along with Orton. Riddle and Orton call their team “RKBro.” They captured the gold back in August during the big Summerslam PPV event inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Riddle Attracts Haters With Orton Pairing

Speaking to talkSPORT, Riddle said that somehow he’s been on the receiving end of more negativity thanks to teaming with Orton.

“No, I think people hate me even more now I’m with Randy,” Riddle answered with a smile. “‘This son of a b**** thinks he;s untouchable now’ [laughs]. I try to tell Vince and other people, it’s part of my persona. It’s part of what makes me popular. I’m legit, I’ve fought in the UFC. Anyone can test me anytime.

“Everybody here knows I can throw down and I’m going to talk s***. It’s one of those things where I can’t change that. I talk trash. For me, isn’t that my job? Make people care about what we’re doing and talk trash so people say ‘oh man, I’d watch that fight!’ or is it real?”

Riddle has been known to ruffle some feathers. He once had beef brewing with Goldberg but the two have seemingly settled their differences. He also had a backstage run-in with Brock Lesnar over some comments made to the media.

More recently, Riddle has gotten on Roman Reigns’ bad side for saying he was never a needle-mover.

Kurt Angle: Shinsuke Nakamura Should Be A Huge Superstar For WWE

0

Kurt Angle thinks more can be done on WWE’s part to make Shinsuke Nakamura a big-time star.

Nakamura entered WWE with a ton of hype. After all, he was one of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest stars. When he went to WWE, many expected great things for Nakamura.

Shinsuke has had some moments on the main roster and he certainly isn’t presented as a slouch, but some have wondered why he isn’t featured in the main event picture.

Kurt Angle Vouches For Shinsuke Nakamura

During the latest episode of his Kurt Angle Show podcast, the Olympic gold medalist reflected on his 2008 feud in NJPW with Nakamura.

“It was [great] and Nakamura was pretty young at the time. He was very talented. We had a great match, great chemistry together. First time we ever worked, the first time we ever touched and I knew he had a huge future. I knew if he came over here and entered the WWE he would end up being a big star, and he did. He did that.”

Angle went on to express his belief that WWE could do a better job of going all the way with Nakamura as a top babyface.

“He’s gotten opportunities but I don’t think they follow through entirely. I think that he should be on another level. He’s not just a great wrestler, he’s entertaining. ‘Come On!’ The way he is, his charisma is off the charts and I think someone like that should be a huge superstar for the company.”

Nakamura is the current Intercontinental Champion. He’s in his second reign as the IC titleholder and has been champion for about three months now.

Keith Lee on his WWE release: “Worry not. We are not done.”

0

Keith Lee has issued his first public statements since WWE released him earlier this month. Lee thanked his followers for all the positivity that’s been dropped on him the past few days.

“I love you. Worry not. We are not done. We work.

#BaskInMyGlory #iAmLimitless”

– Keith Lee

Keith Lee posted the following statement on social media on Monday, his 37th birthday:

“Greetings and salutations,” he wrote. “This day is my birthday! It is not a happy birthday, but it is one I am most grateful for. Several months ago, it was not a guarantee I would make it to this day, so there is positivity in that. I paid all my medical bills from the many offices and machines I frequented. There is positivity in that. And, I do find it amusing that people believe anyone but me paid for my medical expenses.

I was going to wait a couple weeks, but I think it’s time to look toward the future, forward match as I like to say. I am capable of so much more and I can’t wait to see what it looks like properly. I have a wide array of interests and abilities…. I also consider myself to be rather open minded. Here’s to a future that, for all intents and purposes….seems Limitless.”

Keith Lee’s Future

It remains to be seen where Keith Lee will wind up next. That said, he is one of the hottest prospects to hit the free agency market in quite some time.

AEW President Tony Khan has been keeping tabs on WWE’s recent releases. During a recent interview with PWTorch, Khan said there’s some “very interesting people” that WWE just let go, whom he’d be interested in doing business with.

Lee is likely bound by a 90-day non-compete clause, which would keep him on the sidelines through February 2022.

Attitude issues?

Following Keith Lee’s WWE release, Wade Keller of PWTorch later reported that reported that “attitude issues” may have played a role in his release from the company.

“Keith Lee, I have chronicled for months and months and months and months and months, was somebody that even people who were rooting for him behind the scenes became frustrated with him,” Keller said.

“He just had, in general, attitude issues. Or as one wrestler told me tonight, “perceived attitude issues,” Keller continued.  “He just was frustrated. I’ve heard different things about him in terms of his mood being altered way more than it should in the modern era about being asked to do a job.”

Update On Finn Balor Missing Monday Night Raw

0

Finn Balor will not be in action on Monday Night Raw.

Balor was part of the WWE draft this year. He made the move from SmackDown to Raw. He was even featured in the fatal four-way ladder match to determine the number one contender for Big E’s WWE Championship. Seth Rollins ended up winning the match.

Reason For Finn Balor’s WWE Raw Absence

Fans expecting to see Finn Balor on the Nov. 8 episode of Raw are in for a letdown. That’s because Balor remains overseas for a WWE European tour. He will be facing Sheamus in Leeds tonight.

Balor was last seen on the Nov. 1 episode of Monday Night Raw. He defeated Chad Gable, who immediately called for a rematch on social media and even suggested a potential stipulation.

It’ll be interesting to see if WWE has anything planned for Gable and Otis tonight and if Balor will be mentioned on the show. All signs point to Balor and Gable eventually mixing it up again but obviously, that won’t be taking place tonight.

SEScoops will be bringing you results from tonight’s episode of Raw after the show ends. If anything major takes place, we’ll update you on the homepage immediately.
