AEW Collision airs tonight (Saturday, August 8, 2026) from the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado, live on TNT and HBO Max starting at 8 PM ET.
The inaugural Continental Challenge Cup starts tonight, and three first-round matches are set. Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston and Orange Cassidy all begin their runs at Jon Moxley’s Continental Championship, while the TBS title picture spills into a women’s tag team match.
Here’s everything you need to know including start times, how to watch, and the full card.
AEW Collision Match Card for August 8, 2026
Here are the matches announced for tonight’s show:
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Ace Austin (Continental Challenge Cup First Round)
Castagnoli and Austin have crossed paths plenty through the friction between the Death Riders and the Bang Bang Gang, but never in a singles match. The Cup runs under Continental rules with no one allowed at ringside and no outside interference, which strips away the faction help both men usually have on call.
The one change from the Continental Classic is that these matches have no time limit, so there are no draws to fall back on.
Eddie Kingston vs. Jake Doyle (Continental Challenge Cup First Round)
Doyle represents the Don Callis Family, which gives Kingston exactly the kind of opponent he tends to take personally. A random draw put this together, and it’s the closest thing tonight has to a style clash between a veteran brawler and a younger member of a heel unit trying to make a name.
Matt Sydal vs. Orange Cassidy (Continental Challenge Cup First Round)
Cassidy has been one of the more heavily featured names in the field since the entries were revealed, and Sydal enters representing SkyFlight. Both men have the tournament pedigree to go deep, so whoever loses here is out of the Continental picture until the end of the year.
Maya World and Hyan vs. Hikaru Shida and Persephone
Persephone beat Kris Statlander at Grand Slam Mexico with an assist from Shida, days after Statlander cost her a TBS Championship win over Maya World on Dynamite. That leaves Persephone and Shida with unfinished business against the champion herself.
World is defending TBS Champion and Persephone holds the CMLL World Women’s Championship, so this is a tag match with two title holders on opposite sides. Our full breakdown of Grand Slam Mexico has the background on how the feud got here.
Road to AEW All In: London
All In: London takes place Sunday, August 30 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The Continental Challenge Cup is a 16-man single-elimination tournament with matches drawn at random and no published bracket, and the final lands at Wembley. The winner walks out with both the Cup trophy and the AEW Continental Championship, which means Moxley has to win the whole thing to keep the belt he already holds. AEW has also been stacking the All In card since Grand Slam Mexico, with a women’s tag title match added and Andrade El Idolo claiming the first Casino Gauntlet spot.
