AJ Lee is set for a championship match at WrestleMania 42.
After reports of the company overhauling the creative for the Show of Shows recently, there had been questions on whether or not the officials will stick to the direction teased for the wrestling veteran before.
Now Fightful Select has confirmed that AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch is indeed in the works for WWE's return to Las Vegas, and at this point it's considered one of the more 'locked in' matches for the PLE.
The former Divas Champion has been engaged in a feud with The Man since her surprise return to the company in September last year. Her return match was a mixed tag where Lee teamed up with her husband CM Punk, to defeat the duo of Lynch and Seth Rollins.
AJ Lee then cost Becky the Women's IC title in her match against Maxxine Dupri during the November 17 Raw. This led to the two joining the opposite WarGames teams at the Survivor Series PPV, where AJ submitted the Irish star to secure the victory.
The Black Widow has not made an appearance on WWE TV after WarGames but with Becky having regained the IC title since then, it's not hard to imagine that a title match is in the works between the two.
