AJ Styles broke down Zilla Fatu’s WWE NXT debut on a recent episode of The A.J. Styles Show, praising the presence the rookie showed in his first appearance.
“We get Zilla Fatu come out from the people and take it to both Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana, and it was freaking awesome. He looks like a star, just his presence. It’s a very intimidating presence.”
Styles On Fatu’s Fearless Debut
Styles pointed to the physicality Fatu brought into his first appearance, crediting the toughness that comes with his background.
“I wish the Samoans weren’t so scary, because they’re actually great human beings. And if you don’t know how scary he is, he did those splashes without knee pads.”
Fatu’s debut saw him interrupt a title opportunity for Waller and Cruz Montana, an interference that Waller has since responded to at a live event. The debut also drew a warning from Bully Ray on Busted Open Radio. Fatu is the son of the late Umaga and trains under Booker T.
