Sheamus’ free agency may not last long if AEW has anything to say about it.
According to the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio, Sheamus is expected to generate real interest from AEW now that he’s officially off WWE’s roster. WrestleVotes added that a source indicated a number of current AEW talents are personally in favor of seeing “The Celtic Warrior” sign with the company.
Fightful Select was first to report on Sheamus’ WWE departure back in July. He last wrestled for the company in November 2025, teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio in a win over The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh on Raw.
With internal AEW support reportedly already building, it may just be a matter of time before Sheamus turns up on Tony Khan’s roster.
