Multi-time WWE Champion Sheamus is expected to end up in AEW, and will join New Level’s Austin Creed and Kofi as Superstars who declined to sign a new contract for significantly reduced money.
Sheamus, whose real name is Stephen Farrelly, remains under WWE contract through October 1, Fightful Select reported. He rejected a restructured deal that was offered while he recovered from shoulder surgery, and WWE has since moved his profile to its alumni section. Claudio Castagnoli, his former tag team partner, is expected to push for the signing if Sheamus becomes available, per the report.
SEScoops has tracked when Sheamus becomes a free agent, and an AEW star shot down the Sheamus signing rumors in July.
