Bayley’s absence from WWE television could be coming to an end, with a new report indicating that the former Women’s Champion is expected to be back on Raw tonight.
PWInsider reports that Bayley is expected to return during the September 7 episode of WWE Raw. The update comes after the outlet reported last week that creative pitches were being discussed for Bayley on the Raw brand, suggesting WWE had already started putting plans in place for her comeback.
Exactly what WWE has planned for Bayley upon her return remains unclear. However, the latest development appears to confirm that the recent creative discussions were leading toward an imminent return to television.
Bayley has been away from WWE TV since the July 18 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event. She faced Lyra Valkyria on that show and suffered a loss before being attacked after the match, providing WWE with a storyline explanation for her absence.
Despite disappearing from television, Bayley did not completely step away from the ring. She competed at a WWE live event in Bakersfield, California, on July 26, but has otherwise remained out of the spotlight in recent weeks.
Her absence also fueled questions about her WWE future, particularly with speculation surrounding her contract status. Recent reports have increasingly pointed toward Bayley remaining with the company, including claims that she could have a bigger role in the company.
Now, attention turns to Raw and how WWE will bring Bayley back into the fold.
