Bayley shared a heartfelt message about pro wrestling after AEW’s tribute show for PAC.
AEW dedicated Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite in Pittsburgh to Benjamin Satterley, who died on September 27, one day after competing at All Out. He was 40.
Shortly after the show, the WWE star posted on X about how wrestling can be both an escape and a way to honor someone you have lost.
Pro wrestling is so special. The way you can get lost in a match or a character can be so fun. There’s nothing like it. But experiencing that magic and escape, while at the same time honoring a loved one, is truly powerful.
Bayley was among the WWE stars who paid tribute to Satterley on Monday’s Raw. She and Becky Lynch both wore armbands reading “PAC” and “BEN.” Penta, his former Death Triangle partner in AEW, had “PAC” written on his boots. WWE also opened Raw with a tribute graphic to Satterley, who wrestled there as Neville.
Dynamite opened with a 10-bell salute, with Tony Schiavone standing in the ring beside flowers and portraits of PAC. Several wrestlers worked PAC’s signature moves into their matches, and the show closed with a video tribute to his career and a final shot of an empty chair with a towel draped over it.
Satterley was the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion and a two-time AEW World Trios Champion. In WWE, he held the NXT Championship once and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship twice.
