Fans in Mexico City welcomed Cody Rhodes with an enthusiastic ovation.
The American Nightmare attended a fan event for his upcoming film, Street Fighter. As he graced the crowd with his presence and signed autographs, fans began singing his WWE theme song, ‘Kingdom.’ Cody Rhodes joined them in doing the WOAH in a heartwarming moment. Cody Rhodes will play the role of Guile in the movie. He has been strongly promoting the film and his character at major events. Moreover, Rhodes recently attended UFC 332 dressed up as Guile, with other fans also cosplaying the character.
He is joined by an assembled cast of top actors, including his fellow WWE superstar, Roman Reigns, who plays the role of Akuma in the movie. Street Fighter is set for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16.
On his WWE front, Cody Rhodes is embroiled in a heated feud with Randy Orton. The Prodigal Son defeated Orton to retain his Undisputed WWE title at WrestleMania 42. The Viper then went on a hiatus and returned at SummerSlam 2026 to resume their feud. He went on to beat Rhodes at Sunday Night’s Main Event.
With both superstars tied 1-1 in singles matches this year, it will be interesting to see whether they square off in a rubber match.
