A title change on NXT.
The July 4 episode of the development brand featured multiple championship matches, including Wren Sinclair defending her Women’s Speed Title against Zaria, and Kendal Grey defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Lola Vice.
Both the female champions managed to retain their belts but the duo of Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes were not so lucky. Collectively known as Swipe Right, the NXT tag team champions defended their belts against Myles Borne & Tavion Heights of No Quarter Catch Crew on the show.
The duo of Myka Lockwood and Jackson Drake tried to help their Vanity Project teammates but they were ejected from the ringside. The challengers then took control of the bout, and Tavion Heights won the match for his team after pinning Ricky Smokes with a powerslam.
This is the first title of his WWE career for Heights. Myles Borne on the other hand, also holds the NXT North American Championship, and this victory makes him a double champion.
