Enzo Amore is urging the wrestling community to stop speculating about the circumstances surrounding the death of Benjamin Satterley, the wrestler known as PAC in AEW and Neville in WWE, who passed away on Sunday, September 27 at age 40.
Amore, who was close to Satterley and called him his best friend, posted a public plea asking fans and online commentators to cease fueling theories and questions about what happened, and instead allow Satterley to rest in peace.
The request comes as social media remains rife with speculation. TMZ reported that Satterley’s death is not being treated as suspicious, with no signs of foul play. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer confirmed that an autopsy was performed, though results are pending additional testing that could take weeks or months, and noted it was not foul play.
Satterley wrestled his final match on Saturday night at AEW All Out near Chicago, where he lost to Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship before working interference in the main event. AEW announced his passing the following day. Tony Khan described him as someone who defined excellence as a husband, friend, and professional, while Paul Heyman, Rhea Ripley, Saraya, Will Ospreay, and Kevin Owens all posted tributes within the hour.
AEW Dynamite tonight in Pittsburgh is being held as a tribute show to Satterley, with Will Ospreay facing Ricochet in a match honoring two of his iconic rivals. WWE also paid tribute on Monday’s Raw and opened Tuesday’s NXT with a memorial graphic.
Amore’s message reflects a broader sentiment among Satterley’s peers, who have reached for the person rather than the gimmick in their remembrances. No cause of death has been publicly disclosed.
