Hardy Boyz Will Be In WWE 2K27 Base Roster, Matt Hardy Says

Matt Hardy says he and Jeff Hardy have a deal to be on the WWE 2K27 base roster from launch. It's a video game deal, and both brothers remain signed to TNA.

Matt Hardy says he and Jeff Hardy have a deal to be on the base roster of WWE 2K27 from launch. It’s a video game agreement, not a return to WWE, and both brothers remain signed to TNA.

Hardy made the comments in an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling. He said the Hardys were added to WWE 2K26 as downloadable characters and have now done a deal to be in 2K27 “on the main roster, right from the jump.” Hardy framed it as a scoop for the interviewer.

The Hardys arrived in WWE 2K26 on July 22 through Ringside Pass Season 4, a paid season pass. Matt had not been in a WWE game since 2K20, and Jeff’s last appearance was 2K22. A base roster slot would mean players no longer need DLC to use them.

The news lines up with something Matt hinted at earlier this year. On his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, he said the brothers had signed an official merchandise deal tied to 2K26 and hoped it would become “an expanding deal.” A base roster spot in the next game would fit that description.

On the wrestling side, nothing changes. Matt confirmed in December 2025 on X that the brothers had re-signed with TNA, and their most recent WWE television work came through the TNA and NXT partnership in 2025. Matt has also said both WWE and TNA feel like home, as we reported in April.

Neither WWE nor 2K has commented or announced a WWE 2K27 roster. The game has no official release date, though a March launch is expected based on recent entries.
