Shota Umino Responds To PAC’s Forbidden Door Challenge

PAC has challenged Shota Umino for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28 in San Jose, with Umino accepting the challenge following a win over Zane Jay and Jake Lee alongside Ryusuke Taguchi at Yuji Nagata Produce Blue Justice XVIII on Saturday.

After PAC’s challenge video aired, Umino responded directly.

The IWGP Global title is just that — global! I am ready to fight anyone anywhere in the world. PAC, I’ll see you at Forbidden Door, and I will prove that NJPW is the best!

The IWGP Global Championship match joins an already stacked card at SAP Center in San Jose. Updated Forbidden Door 2026 card:
