LA Knight has been tangled up with The Bloodline for nearly three years. He would like that to stop on Saturday.
Knight teams with Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys against Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu on Night 1 of SummerSlam. Asked by ESPN’s SportsCenter whether the weekend closes the book on it, he did not hesitate.
Man, God, I hope so, cause at this point, I feel like I’m a weird black sheep of the family at this point. Cause I’ve been married to those guys almost to the point where it’s like I’m in there.
He likes the company he is keeping this time.
But as far as I’m concerned, again, you got this big powerhouse in Royce Keys. Solo ain’t nothing to sneeze at, and this man right here, the best thing going today in wrestling.
The goal is simpler than the history.
So with that being the case, you got that kind of a trio coming in for what, the Usos and Jacob Fatu? As far as I’m concerned, the goal? To put The Bloodline in the hole. Then we move on from there. We’ll see what happens, my man, but that’s what I’m looking at.
The thread runs back to November 2023, when Knight challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the Crown Jewel main event in Riyadh. It was his first world title shot in WWE. Reigns retained after interference from Jimmy Uso and Sikoa.
Knight has circled the group ever since. He teamed with the Usos against The Vision and iShowSpeed at WrestleMania 42, then watched Jey and Jimmy realign with Reigns as The Bloodline reformed.
Saturday’s version is built on shaky ground. Sikoa turned babyface on the July 13 Raw after faking a return to the family, and Knight had already rejected an invitation to join him. The two are allies by circumstance.
Night 1 starts at 6 pm ET from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
