Bayley continues to be a huge topic of discussion.
The longtime WWE star has largely stayed silent about her next move but with reports of her contract coming to an end soon, rumors has been running rampant. This includes not only the talk on social media but speculation within the company as well, according to a report from Fightful Select.
The site confirmed previous reports that Bayley’s contract is up before the end of the year, but the exact date for it is not known. While no one can confirm if the WWE veteran has been written off TV with the Lyra Valkyria match at SNME, she is believed to have not signed a new deal just yet, and her status remains a huge point of discussion within the company.
This includes talks not only in WWE but in AEW as well. Bayley has been at a number of AEW shows to support Mercedes Mone in the past, but it’s said that Tony Khan avoids conversation with WWE-contracted talents when they are backstage. Nonetheless, his company is expected to make a play for the former champion if she becomes available.
Amid the recent releases and news of TKO forcing talents into pay cuts, an agent noted the possibility of Bayley being the name who could tip the change in contract terms and potentially introduce a no-cut clause or guaranteed years into her deal because of the interest from both companies.
