A new video might have accidentally revealed some altered AEW plans.

The company recently saw a major title change where Kenny Omega defeated MJF to become a two-time AEW Champion during the Dynamite: Beach Break special on July 8.

The title change taking place a couple of weeks before Redemption on July 26 surprised many fans, especially since the upcoming PPV will be taking place on Omega’s home turf in Canada.

Reports after the match claimed that the title change was originally planned for the big event, but MJF pushed for it to be moved to the TV special instead.

Kenny Omega Nearing End of His Career?

A now-deleted promo from Canadian broadcaster TSN Sports featuring Renee Paquette and RJ City seems to confirm this update.

The video shows the two broadcasters promoting Kenny Omega chasing his second AEW title as the headline for the upcoming PPV. It claims that the Cleaner is nearing the end of his career and he wants to become a two-time champion before he hangs up his boots for good:

MJF is believed to be taking some time off after his title loss. In his absence, AEW has announced that Kevin Knight will be challenging Kenny Omega for the title at the upcoming show, before the AEW Champion faces Will Ospreay at All In.
