Maven has apologized for the timing of his Enzo Amore interview.
The former WWE star posted a statement on his YouTube channel after fans criticized the release. In the interview, Enzo took a shot at AEW, and it came out days after the death of AEW star PAC.
F—- AEW for all the p—- a—- fighting that they do over there and letting it leak and s—-. We are some badasses that you got to keep some credibility in that locker room.
Enzo also called out the timing, saying he recorded with Maven in March 2025.
Maven said no harm was intended.
First, we want to apologize to Enzo and any fans who were upset or hurt by the timing of our latest upload. Nothing malicious was intended, but looking back, we fully understand why the timing bothered some people.
He explained why the interview sat for so long.
Enzo recorded with us back in 2025, but there was a portion of the interview he later asked us not to release. We honored that request, and because that was a significant part of the original video, the interview ended up sitting unreleased for quite a while.
Last Friday, our regular upload was much shorter than what we normally post, so we felt it was a good opportunity to give you guys a little extra and finally release that version.
Maven stressed that the section Enzo asked to cut is not in the video.
Just to be completely clear, the portion Enzo asked us to remove was removed. We honored that request, and it does not appear anywhere in the video.
Again, our apologies. We’re learning from this, and we’ll do better and be more mindful going forward.
PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, died on Sept. 27 at age 40. AEW dedicated the Sept. 30 episode of Dynamite to him.
