PRODUCE Wrestling is going on hiatus. The Orange Crush promotion will run its two remaining partner shows in New York on November 14 and 15, then pause its live calendar for the rest of 2026, citing a family health situation and what it called “the realities of market stability.”
Founder Adam Abdalla explained the decision in a signed letter released with the announcement. He pointed to “rising travel costs, advances, uncertainty in the live event market,” but said the main reason was personal, calling “unexpected personal family medical circumstances” the company’s primary concern.
“The most prudent decision is to reset and move forward in 2027 with new partners and intention to ensure the long term health of the project,” Abdalla wrote.
What happens to tickets and Season 2
Both November shows will still happen. PRODUCE x Assembly runs in Kingston, New York on November 14, and Lucha Fresca runs in Brooklyn on November 15. Lucha Fresca is the lucha libre sister brand Orange Crush launched with Lucha Libre Promotions, and it debuted in Poughkeepsie in September.
All later dates are postponed indefinitely. PRODUCE is aiming to reschedule in spring 2027 and beyond. Tickets for New York, Florida and Montreal will be refunded. The promotion had listed Vol. 7: FRIDAY in Brooklyn for November 27. The schedule it released over the summer also included a Rock ‘N’ Roll Express Tag Team Invitational on December 27 and 28.
Fans who bought PRODUCE Season 2 on MyAEW should contact MyAEW customer support about refunds. In the meantime, PRODUCE says it will put out content releases and collaborative shows, along with “opportunities for PRODUCE fighters.”
One 2027 date is still on the books. On February 25, PRODUCE returns to The Vermont in Los Angeles for Most Wanted, co-produced by Bandido. That show was announced live last month at Vol. 6: Hell Comes To Dogtown in LA.
A turbulent first year
PRODUCE launched June 29 at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn with Vol. 1: The Octopus, co-produced by Jonathan Gresham. The debut followed a pay-per-view distribution deal with MyAEW. A wrestler co-producer books each show. Season 2 opened October 12 in Brooklyn with SKODEN, co-produced by Karl Fredericks.
The first year had problems. In August, Joey Janela said he would no longer work “for or with Produce” after a public dispute with Abdalla over a canceled flight. Janela and Megan Bayne also pulled out of curating Volume 4. Steph De Lander then said she would not appear on future PRODUCE shows. Separately, WWE ID talent were pulled from a PRODUCE event this summer after a scheduling change on WWE’s side.
Gresham, the promotion’s first co-producer, still has ROUND 1, the grappling promotion he built with 1FW and PRODUCE, scheduled for January 9, 2027. The hiatus announcement did not mention it.
