WWE Legend Confirms New Deal Months After AEW Departure

Jake Roberts made a surprise announcement about his wrestling future, revealing that he has signed a new deal with WWE.

Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts has announced that he has re-signed with WWE after his run with AEW ended a few months back.

Roberts shared the news while speaking with Nick Teodoro. Asked what he’s been up to lately, he said he’s no longer in AEW and has “re-signed with WWE, doing some stuff for them.”

He didn’t explain what kind of deal it is, whether the work is behind the scenes, or what WWE has planned for him. He moved straight on to talking about his car.

Staying busy. Not in AEW anymore. Re-signed with WWE, doing some stuff for them and just enjoying life, man.

That car is a 1965 Cadillac convertible, which he’s rebuilt into a hot rod. He called it a very expensive toy and said he’s spent around $90,000 on it. He recently took it to its first car show and said he enjoyed seeing other people’s cars.

I’ve got a ’65 Cadillac convertible. Completely redid it, turned it into a hot rod, and it’s my toy. A very expensive toy. I spent about 90 grand on that damn car. And it’s a hot rod now. We went to our first car show the other day. Had a great time, great time seeing the folks and looking at their toys.

Roberts had been with AEW since 2020, mostly managing Lance Archer, before he disappeared from television. He confirmed in July that his AEW time was over and said nothing negative about Khan, praising him as a breath of fresh air.
