Return Of Former X-Division Champion Teased For TNA Slammiversary

ByAndrew RavensProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Amazing Red is returning to TNA for Slammiversary 2026 on June 28 in Boston, with the company all but confirming his appearance through a social media video teaser.

TNA President Carlos Silva had previously hinted at Red’s involvement with a tweet saying the show was going to be “Amazing.” Red has not been with TNA since 2011. One of the pioneers of junior heavyweight wrestling in the early 2000s and a multi-time X-Division Champion, he currently operates the House of Glory wrestling school and competes for the promotion.

His specific role at Slammiversary has not been announced, though an obvious option is a spot in the Ultimate X match, where X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander defends against Leon Slater and four opponents still to be named.

Slammiversary takes place at Agganis Arena with a 4 p.m. ET main card start and 3 p.m. ET pre-show. The announced card:

  • TNA World Championship: Mike Santana (c) vs. Nic Nemeth
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship: Lei Ying Lee (c) vs. Xia Brookside
  • TNA Tag Team Championship Ladder Match: Brian Myers & Bear Bronson (c) vs. The Hardys vs. The Righteous
  • Moose vs. Eddie Edwards
  • Ultimate X — X-Division Championship: Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Leon Slater and four opponents TBA
  • Ricky Sosa vs. Eric Young
