The return came after Je'Von Evans, PENTA, and Dragon Lee defeated El Grande Americano and Los Americanos. Mysterio emerged after the match to reveal his addition to the ladder match scheduled for the Las Vegas Premium Live Event.

Following the announcement, PENTA addressed Mysterio directly. The masked superstar told Mysterio that he's ready to make history alongside him on the grand stage.
