Ric Flair says the reports that he is back with WWE are untrue and disrespectful. Flair posted on X the following:
I Am Seeing All The Rumors Online About Me Being Back With @WWE. Number One, It Is Disrespectful. Number Two, It Is Not True. I Have Always Been Friends With Hunter. Nothing Has Changed With Our Friendship. We Both Have Mutual Respect For Each Other. My Daughter @MsCharlotteWWE Works For WWE, And I Cheer Her On In The Company.

On Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast that was previously recorded and released again last week, Flair said he and Triple H had hugged and made up, that he was coming to the Royal Rumble, and that people would be seeing a lot more of him. The phrase he used was “I’m back in.”
His AEW position has been quiet rather than over. Flair signed a multi-year deal with the company in late 2023, and his last television appearance came at Revolution 2024 during Sting’s final match. He turned up again in May for a tribute to Steve McMichael on Collision, and was announced for Blood & Guts last November before leaving ahead of the broadcast with a rotator cuff injury. Fightful reported earlier this year that he remains under contract.
Things have not been uniformly smooth on the other side either. WWE barred him from WrestleMania 42 weekend in April after he threatened to beat up Ludwig Kaiser.
Flair is 77 and is currently suing the talent agency FAM Networks for $10 million over the rights to his name and likeness.
